[THOUGHT OF THE DAY]
💭The fact is simple. You are NOT in control. Not of everything, at least. However, you can focus on what is within your control and play the odds.
☑️How do you know what you can control?
You must start by understanding the difference between what you can control and what you can’t. This is very important. There are three things you can control every day:
▪️Your attitude & mindset
▪️Your effort
▪️Your actions
☑️ How Do You Do This?
✔️Focusing on what we can’t control often takes our energy and attention away from what we can control
✔️Focusing on what we can control takes discipline
🙌🏼 Being aware that at the end of the day, we can control our input, but we can’t control the outcome just influence it. Focus on What You Can Control, Leave What You Can't🚀

[CHANGE SERIES – 5 REASONS WE FEAR CHANGE]
👩🏻🎓As Change Manager working in major Financial Institutions for the past 9 years my job was to understand the impacts of Organizational Change and why people were so reluctant to change.
💭Behavioral Change has always been a fascinating field for me as a Consultant and as an Executive Coach specialized in Transitions:
▪️Understanding what is the neuroscience behind our resistance to change
▪️How are brains are wired to fear change
▪️And how to overcome those fears to cope with major changes and transitions
🧠 Neuroscience has shown that uncertainty feels similar to failure in our brains. People would rather be unhappy than uncertain.
✍🏻 Let’s explore first the 5 most common reasons we resist and fear change:
✖️Fear of uncertainty
✖️Fear of discomfort
✖️Fear of losing control
✖️Fear of failure
✖️Fear of effort
✨On one hand, we are hardwired to resist uncertainty and on the other hand, our mind is flexible and adaptive—it can be trained to thrive in change.
🙋🏻♀️ Which fear do you tend to experience the most and how to you overcome it generally? Don’t hesitate to share your experiences in the comments section. 📝
🔒Stay tuned for the next post / article about how to overcome your fears of change.

[FOOD FOR THOUGHT]
🧠 Neuroscience research demonstrates that our brain is wired to fear change and uncertainty. We are resistant of change because our brain is telling us that:
▪️Change is unsafe and uncertain
▪️Changing means that there is a risk of failure or inadequacy
▪️The rewards of changing don’t seem to outweigh the drawbacks
🙌🏼 We are wired for efficiency which keeps us repeating existing patterns.
💭 It means that we tend to have an emotional connection to the way things are and to our old self and identity.
✨ In a nutshell, in any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety. Here is a kind reminder for that. ✨

[SETTING BOUNDARIES]
❓Why is it important to set healthy boundaries?
🙌🏼 It’s the first step for being aligned with who you are and your needs. It allows you to be clear with what you want and how you want to be treated in your personal life and at work. And above all it’s empowering!
▪️Boundaries show maturity
▪️They protect your energy
▪️They reduce resentment
▪️They strengthen relationships
▪️They are good for your career
▪️They are fundamental for your mental health
🗣Never apologize for saying no when you need to say no or setting boundaries.
