I bought the yarn for this jumper the day I picked up my visa. It was the start of the next chapter in my french adventure - both exciting and overwhelming at the same time.

Months later, here I am in the jumper I made from this yarn, realising that whilst moving to a new country has brought its ups and downs, I will be forever grateful that it has reconnected me back to my love for making. 🧶✨

Knitting has been more than just a creative outlet - it’s been a way to ground myself and slow down the go go go person that I am. It’s become my meditation 🧘🏽‍♀️

As I settle into this new chapter, whilst you will still find me out on the trails 🏃🏽‍♀️and spending time in nature 🌳, I’m excited to share more of my makes, the joy of slow crafting and the power of creative wellness. Because in a world that moves fast, there’s something truly special about slowing down and creating something with your own two hands 🙌

Last weekend’s mud skating adventure ⛸️💃🏻 A tough day mentally and physically, but also a day of meeting awesome people and living what the trail mindset is all about ⛰️

In the first half of the course I was really questioning if I could go the whole way. My hands were frozen, I had mud up to my ankles and there were slippery rocks everywhere. Because I had lost control over my hands, I couldn’t access my vest to be able to keep to my nutrition plan, so I was almost waiting for the cramps to kick in!

After getting through the first climb though my hands thawed out, so I decided to keep going! Very quickly I met some awesome people along the trail, and not knowing what the conditions on the second climb would be like, we stuck together, supporting and encouraging each other to get to the end 🙌

That’s the beauty of the trail running world… it’s less about speed and winning, and more about community and seeing everyone cross the finish line!

you pushed my limits!! Hitting that bell at the end felt incredible and I’m walking away from this one with lots of learnings to be able to take into the next adventure!

Been exploring over the last few days in Fieberbrunn ahead of the this weekend ⛰️🏃🏽‍♀️ Feeling excited and nervous at the same time…. This is the biggest challenge I’ve tackled! 51km to cover, 3250m to climb…. Now time to rest ahead of the adventure 🙌🙌

The breathtaking scenery at the last weekend was beyond words, making every step an incredible and magical experience ⛰️ ✨

It was a shorter distance this time, and took it easy and soaked in the views, because in 9 more sleeps there’s a longer trail to be ready for!!

But my head is still in Grindelwald and certainly popping this one on the list as a must do again!

I was in the minority this weekend at the …. in an event with over 1500 participants, just over 18% of us were women!

Trail running is an exhilarating adventure that brings you closer to nature, challenges our limits and fosters an incredible sense of community ✨

But for women, there’s a huge lack of representation out there because of perceived barriers, intimidation and a confidence gap.

But here’s the truth, trail running is for EVERYONE and you don’t need to be an elite athlete to participate… I certainly am not!! You just need to have the desire to challenge yourself, try something new and be willing to step out of your comfort zone!

If you’ve been contemplating hitting the trails for a while now, but shying away… then this is your sign to GO FOR IT!

Set small goals, celebrate every achievement and remember it’s not about the speed, it’s about the journey and the joy it brings!

Let’s make the trails more vibrant with strong, unstoppable women! 🏃🏽‍♀️🤸🏽‍♂️🙌

The is tomorrow!! Second trail for the year!! Far from where I would have liked to have been ahead of this trail, but it forms part of a bigger project so the goal is to get out there, to have some fun, to run some hills, to eat some gels, and most importantly to walk away without any injuries!!

From the gym to the great outdoors, my journey into trail running continues to bring a buzz and energy into my life that keeps me showing up for more!

Training for 3 x 50km trails this year and hopefully an 85km next year 👀 , being on the trails constantly reminds me of the power of determination and passion.

If you’re feeling scared or overwhelmed, remember that every journey starts with a single step. But once that first step is made, you’ll be off and running!

There will always be valid reasons and excuses as to why you shouldn't commit. Confidence, Time and Money are the top 3 that come up regularly. ⁠

YES to those goals you've been secretly eyeing, ⁠

that's when a new version of you will start emerging that is energised, organised, confident and alive....and I can't wait to meet her!⁠

These are the ingredients that keep some of the busiest people I know consistent with their exercise and training. ⁠

These tips aren't anything radical or new, but it's those that implement these consistently, that manage to maintain a focus on their movement and health, whilst also having full-on jobs and running successful businesses.⁠

They've realised that it is acutally a key part of their career success.⁠
⁠
For me it all starts with the goal. When exercise feels like a chore, your brain has to work SO SO SO much harder to get you to show up. ⁠
⁠
That's why by now you would have realised that I always have an exciting goal on the cards, which keeps me energised and committed to my training (I'll share more of what is on the cards for 2024 next week)!!⁠

So have a think this weekend.....what type of goals energise you, potentially scare you, and will have you looking at your training differently?⁠
