Kudos and cheers to as this really made me laugh 😅 (hope you don't mind me borrowing the image 🙏)
It does need to be said, and repeated…over and over
that rehab isn’t about the ✌️best exercises✌️
But about careful and analytical planning and programming.
The Nordic curl has indeed been deemed effective in targeting the hamstrings
(specifically the short head of the biceps femoris and the semitendinosus)
but there is also evidence that 𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 generate a more uniform bi-articular activation
(and greater activation of the BF)
⚠️ PLUS, the concept of elongation stress on hamstrings (ESH) suggests that
the effectiveness of hamstring strengthening exercises could be improved by controlling for 𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗼𝗻 angle
👉 As hip flexion increases, so does hamstrings peak torque.
