Muaythai to be showcased at ‘Olympic Games Paris 2024’ July 26 – Aug 11

IFMA president announces that Thai kickboxing will feature as a demonstration sport in the upcoming Games
Muay Thai has been granted the opportunity to shine as a demonstration sport at the 2024 Olympic Games, the International Federation of Muay Thai Associations (IFMA) confirmed on Thursday.
IFMA president Sakchai Tapsuwan announced this significant milestone at a press conference at the Arnoma Grand Hotel in Bangkok.

Muay Thai set to demo at Paris Olympics
MUAY THAI: A Muay Thai fight demonstration has been confirmed to feature during the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, touted as the first step towards the sport’s inclusion in the international event.

Muay Thai will be featured as a side program at the 2024 Olympic Games, being held in Paris between July 26 and-August 11, with the participation of more than 1,000 Muay Thai boxers from 24 countries on five continents, said Dr Sakchye Tapsuwan, president of the International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA).

He hailed the event as a big step in the dreams of Thai people that Muay Thai will, one day, become an Olympic sport.
