🌿 30hr JM Vinyasa + Meditation Immersion

Join and for our long-weekend Yoga + Meditation Immersion in the English countryside. Take the weekend to dive deep into your yoga practice. In this 30hr Immersion we will cover it all: inversions + backbends, mobility + strength. We will practice Jared’s signature JM Vinyasa class every day and use the afternoons to learn skills and drills to strengthen and support your physical practice. Each morning and evening Jared and Rebecca will also teach meditation, mantra, pranayama and the special practice of energy balancing. These yogic practices will help students to access their intuitive healing abilities and also serve to strengthen their asana practice in a way that no amount of drills ever could!
🌻The retreat center is an easy train ride from London and we have room rates to accommodate a range of budgets.
🕊 Teachers already registered with Yoga Alliance will be eligible to receive 30hr CEU credit.

UK countryside retreat! April 15-18.
Join me and for 4 days of daily vinyasa classes, meditation, Pilates, inversions, backbends, mobility + strength. We will practice Jared’s signature vinyasa class in the morning. And utilize the afternoon to work on skills and drills to support your physical practice. Each morning and evening we will have meditation practice. And students are also eligible to receive 30 hours YA CEUs.

There are several cottages for guest accommodations that range in size and rates. And the grounds will be blooming as we move into spring. We will also have a chef preparing local organic meals and are happy to accommodate specific dietary needs. Travel restrictions have been fully lifted in the UK. If you’ve been itching to take a trip, seize the moment!

What: Join Jared McCann, Rebecca Causey and Allison Sloan for a week of sacred practices from yoga asana + pranayama, to meditation + mantra, energy work, astrology and more. All practices will assist us in recentering within the self after enduring 2 years of great upheaval and change in the world. Guests will leave this retreat feeling recharged and refreshed, with the tools to continue deepening their connection to self. All levels of practitioner are welcome. No prior experience needed in the various modalities offered— just a willingness to try.
We are happy to do this work together at , a beautiful 275 acre farmhouse retreat off the coast of Southern Portugal. The grounds are extensive and complete with a pristine freshwater lake, cozy hammocks, indoor and outdoor yoga shalas with manduka mats + high quality straps, blankets and blocks. Peacocks, goats, and other furry creatures live happily on the farm, which is also situated just 15 minutes drive from the coast where you can find beautiful, untouched beaches perfect for hiking, swimming and sunbathing. The bedrooms are bright white and warmly serene. All meals are included and prepared by an on-site chef. Food is farm-to-table, either from Cocoon’s own garden or neighboring farms. All meals are vegetarian with the exception of 1 meal per week, and we are happy to support other dietary needs.

There is nothing inherently spiritual or good or right or disciplined or moral about the ability to put your leg behind your head.* Spirituality is cultivated through the practice of consistent, inwardly-directed focus and devotion. Connection to the Self + Source. When we are connected to the Self we can care for the Self. For me that means daily meditation practice + walking, plus weekly pilates, yoga, and strength training. I believe all of these practices promote health and healing, and I don’t value one above the rest. They all matter. They all help me to be and feel my best. And they can all be meditative and spiritual if you approach them that way. Figure out what does that for you and do it. An acorn can only become an oak tree— we are all born with individual purpose— so instead of using these practices to try and achieve something within the practice itself, use them to learn your heart and do the things you most sincerely want to to do with your life. (And if getting your leg behind your head is on that list, DO IT!)

In ‘Down to Earth’ last Sunday, we discussed this week’s astrology which held strong Aries + Gemini energy, indicating speed + action. I said we’d be busy. And what’s funny is that even though I can describe what’s coming, when it actually shows up I’m like, Oh, so you meant REALLY DAMN BUSY. Ok got it. 😅
That is the beauty of astrology. It will describe what’s happening whether you are a willing participant or not. When we are willing + aware, we can use planetary energy to our advantage. When we are unaware or in resistance, the energies are still there, but the way we experience them can be less productive + more conflicted.
The other big energy we discussed was Pluto squaring Venus, Sun + Mercury. Pluto represents obsession, compulsion, power struggles, paranoia, shame, guilt, control, + dark, hidden or taboo topics. With 3 planets making a tense aspect w Pluto, it’s likely this energy came up for you in your personal life, and there’s no doubt we saw it combined w Aries energy in the collective. We saw the dark underbelly of America exposed through more mass shootings, more horrific + racist police violence, + data breaches exposing significant abuses of power + still more racism. Transits to Pluto bring his significations to the surface for us to confront, and we must choose how to respond. Sometimes it’s important to engage in direct action (protests taking place against the examples above).
In other Plutonic situations, it’s important to release attachment. If you find yourself obsessing over a thought, or something someone said to you today, take a moment to ask yourself, “Is this helping me? Is this bringing me closer to myself or drawing me further away?” If answer is that you have been pulled off center, your work today is to stop feeding the monster + come back to yourself. You can do this through a physical practice (yoga, pilates, etc) or through meditation. Whatever you choose, do it with the intention of gathering yourself up and shifting your focus internally until you feel supported.

During these weekly gatherings, I will discuss the astro-weather in terms of the planetary energies of the week, their potential effects, and practical ways to harness and harmonize with those energies to help us along our path.
Meditations will vary each week and may include Mantra chanting, Sum Paht meditation (connecting to the divine energies of the heart) and planetary attunements (practice attuning to the energies of a specific planet).
We will have time for discussion and Q+A at the end of each session. I’m so excited for this! See you all there.
