Winter 2027! Hi all! First of all apologies for a lot of radio silence. It’s been a pretty stressful summer with 2 toddlers qnd a bike business to run! I’ve been really struggling to find time to keep winter info flowing. January courses are all up on the website (mostly!) and March/April trips should follow shortly, Tignes Steeps and Norway touring! I will get back to those of you waiting for info from me in the next few hours!
One trip I need to push right now is Georgia cat-boarding in early March! Full package including cat uplifts, hotel, food, guiding and transfers for €2900. Only flights and booze to pay on top. It’s an epic spot with great terrain and an incredible snow record with the Black Sea acting in a similar way to the sea of Japan to deliver constant powder dumps! I need to secure our spot on this right away, so let me know right now if you want to book!

Finnmark 2026!
Not gonna lie, the come-down from this one has been rough. Finished the season with incredible conditions, in an other-worldly place with the most epic of crews.
As for my Lyngen trip, the weather throughout the Arctic had been warm and we travelled as much in hope as in expectation. Conditions in this part of the world can be impossible to predict and luck is always required for everything to line up. It seems we’ve all been living just lives as the temperatures dropped and the clouds opened to smother the unreal landscape for our arrival. We rode the seemingly never-ending storm, always hunting a longed-for or confidently-predicted window that remained ever-elusive. Until it didn’t and we could release the shackles and charge the seemingly endless powder field from the ethereal summit to the deep, distant sea. A run and a line that saturated the consciousness, that transcended snowboarding and touched on the spiritual. A run where no-one wanted to leave as to do so would acknowledge its end.
One more day, a mighty summit, once the highest in the region, now re-shaped by shrinking ice to fall a few metres short. Another stunning descent, reduced only by the knowledge that nothing could ever match the day before, then the fickle Arctic weather changed again, snatching away our fragile window of snow and weather.
Five days of the most epic riding, some down time and a last tour scavenged from the journey home is a return I’ll take any time. Massive thanks to my crew, up for anything up and down the mountain with an incredible attitude and spirit.
I know I’m getting carried away with my prose here, but this place really does defy description. A last frontier of adventure.

Lyngen 2026!

Lyngen 2026! I was sure I already posted this, but something got lost in the aether! As always, an amazing week. We got lucky with conditions. The arctic has been very warm for much of this winter, but we caught a colder spell giving us fresh, light powder for the first half of the week before turning back to Spring conditions by the end. Mostly glorious weather too, even some last minute clear skies overnight for the final evening of the trip.
Epic team, with a strong crew up and downhill giving me plenty of options! I think this was my biggest vertical for a Norway week. Thanks all!
Big thanks to Yvonne and Jean-Noel for their hospitality and local knowledge! Same time next year!

So I only went and passed it! Ich bin jetzt Snowboardfuhrer! A shiny new badge for the jacket next winter. Can’t quite believe I pulled it off, given I spoke no German a year ago! Lots of thoughts on this one, but right now, just super-stoked and really grateful to all the Austrian crew and trainers!

Heading off on a big set of end-of-season adventures. It was great to get some epic turns in at home with a couple of really cool crews just before I left!
