We are in September … where did the Summer go? Well, it was hot and lots of fun. The Bars/Restaurants organised so many good evenings and great food and as usual so many places and events around Thollon to keep us amused. There are still a few more events , like the Pork celebrations… Foire De Crete and Freddie Days in Montreux. For those that are in Thollon there are still good Les Menus Du Jour....lunch specials. Here are some photos from the Summer as Thollon gently slides into the autumn slumbers.

England win on penalties! Full time 6 all, penalties 6-5. A fantastic afternoon. A huge crowd watched a game of high drama, half time England were down 4-2 but came back to be 6-5 up when a last second goal from France took the game to penalties. More to follow as we need to acknowledge those involved...but for now a big thank you.

Well its probably the Football event of the year, France v England and its on this Sunday 16th August at 4pm in Thollon. The annual event has always been great fun, there is even a video of one of the most famous tackles made in football history, ( yes I will try and get it) ..... better and certainly funnier than the hand of god! This is a fun event..... looking through the old photos you can see why .
So anyone can and probably will join in so bring your trainers. It should be noted that we were the first to introduce hydration breaks, but with the option of beer. Refreshments and good cheer.
