My absolute favourite thing to read this week in the form my clients can fill in before coaching was ‘I’m fed of my own self-doubt’
And I massively celebrated it because I could feel the f*ck it energy, of let’s try swinging for the dream,
Which is what actually creates the dream 💛
Self-doubt is optional, choosing to actively trust yourself again and again is a skill we are taught to suppress, and I think so many of us love to be in nature, the edge of the wild because we feel it trembling back into our senses, like a compass spinning towards a magnet
Instead of a thousand city noises we hear the birds, the stream and the rustle of trees, we realise it’s still loud but a loud that creates safety and aliveness in us instead of exhaustion and grumpiness - ease
Our faces turn to seek out the sun which we appreciate so much more once we’ve been in the chill pre dawn or forest, and our fingers curiously search for moss or to test the water in a stream
Time expands
Joy breathes
Our energy expands with the effortlessness grace of a lioness stretching before resting
Tomorrows Substack will be about how to gently but firmly transform your self-doubt into self trust, if you’d like the link you can sign up with the link in my profile, I’m going to be doing a city weekend finishing Maison EmRita (plates are indeed important as is the bed frame arriving tonight 😆) and planning the garden so that I can plan my next Pyrenees adventure and know that Rita’s sitter will feel as comfortable as possible while I’m away!
Have a beautiful weekend gang!
I’ve left the sound on the videos if you want to hear the water and birds to say hello to mountain energy! ⛰️✨🪐🐆✨

In my swimming lesson with gotyourback_coach I learnt that the way we learn to swim is based on fighting the water, and I realised most of us are living fighting life, we expect dating, business, having a strong body that can work with us, a life that has everything we love in it must be HARD
There are so many systems and products we can buy to simplify it and help us so it MUST be complicated right?
But actually, how I’ve been living and coaching for five years now is the opposite, an unlearning, what if it’s actually easy?
What if in dating you just be yourself and ask for what you want? Your person can find you faster and your not persons can self-filter out (YES you have to heal from the rejection bruises but you learn it’s worth it! 💛)
What if building a business isn’t hard, it’s just about being honest about your skills and how you support others and communicating that? (YES more rejection but more attraction which is so beautiful!)
What if food and movement isn’t hard, it’s about learning to listen to your body and loving yourself through the messy bits?
Ease is a practise, a discipline, it involves an unlearning but oh it’s so worth it, what do you think?
And if you want space to have an explore of ease? Can’t recommend Hotel La Voie Lactée La Mongie ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ enough! Thanks to my amazing friend for recommending it to me! 😍😍😍

I heard about this concept of contrast from Emelie Forsberg ‘s amazing book on running and realised it has been the magic ingredient in my own life design AND the first place to play detective with clients when they feel their lives aren’t where they want them
Contrast to me is magical, it’s biodiversity in every sense and it’s how we can feel both challenged AND joyfully in the moment at every step!
If you think about your own life, and choose one area, what do you notice about the existing contrast? What could you add?
Food can be a fun place to start, or even just routes home, or your plans at the weekend!

I fell in love this weekend.
Messily. Imperfectly. With a gut punch that felt like I needed to sit down.
Back in March I was working on my own Life Atelier, designing the next evolution of life, testing out tools before I share them with my clients and I wanted to have a home in the wild, somewhere that felt like a Celtic rainforest meets Scandinavian pines
And a city base so I could stay connected to my community and get an oat milk latte
It felt impossible, it felt preposterous even but I decided to practise curiosity and possibility- let’s see, let’s explore, let’s take another little step
I knew having a home where I felt safe and Rita felt safe was the priority, so she could keep her routine when I travelled with her amazing sitter so that was step one. The mountains probably weren’t going anywhere fast
Step 2? See if I could keep my routine, work, balance and also start to explore the Pyrenees
So this weekend we ran the experiment! (And as I share in my voicenote on Substack this was after multiple failed experiments 😂)
And wow.
Home.
This landscape is oxygen for my soul.
Rita says it’s not bad too even if she got into a fight on the final morning 😆
Everyone survived, lessons were learned, calming croissants were eaten
And tomorrow is another day! ❤️
