🏆 FAW Welsh Cup | First Round Draw

Aberbargoed Buds have been drawn away to Carn Rovers in the First Round of the FAW Welsh Cup.

The draw sets up an exciting cup tie as we begin our 2026/27 Welsh Cup campaign, with a trip to Carn Rovers standing between the Buds and a place in the next round.

Cup football always brings its own occasion, and we’ll be giving everything to progress in one of Welsh football’s most prestigious competitions.

Fixture details, including the date, kick-off time and venue, will be confirmed in due course.

We look forward to seeing the Buds travelling in numbers to get behind the lads as we begin our Welsh Cup journey.

Full-Time | Pre-Season Friendly

Our Development side were beaten 4-2 away to Beaufort in this evening’s pre-season friendly.

A valuable run-out for the squad as preparations continue ahead of the new season, with plenty of positives to build on despite the result.

Thank you to Beaufort for their hospitality, and to everyone who travelled to support the team this evening. We now turn our focus to the next fixture as our pre-season preparations continue.

FULL TIME | Cwrt Rawlin 3-3 Aberbargoed Buds FC

The Buds opened their pre-season schedule with a competitive 3-3 draw away to Cwrt Rawlin on Wednesday evening.

Goals from Nathan Rich, Craig Elsdon and Ryan Morgans earned the Buds a share of the spoils in an entertaining contest, as the squad took another important step in its preparations for the new campaign.

With the emphasis firmly on building fitness and getting valuable minutes into the legs, the evening provided a positive workout for the squad. There were encouraging signs throughout the performance, with plenty to build on as preparations continue.

Thank you to Cwrt Rawlin for their hospitality and to our supporters who made the journey to back the Buds.

Attention now turns to the next test against Sifil FC away from home as pre-season continues. 🧡🖤

🚨JORDAN RONALDO SIGNS🚨

The Club is pleased to confirm the signing of Jordan Ronaldo ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Jordan joins us with an impressive footballing pedigree, having previously represented Treowen Stars, Llwydcoed, and Taffs Well FC, where he established himself as a talented and consistent performer.

He also played an important role in Buds’ treble-winning 2022/23 season, bringing valuable experience of success and high standards into the squad.

Manager and staff are delighted to welcome Jordan to the Club and believe his quality, work ethic, and winning mentality will be a valuable addition as preparations continue for the new season.
