it was a hot sweaty one last night in advanced conditioning but we are super lucky that we can just throw our doors open!

We started yesterday with our youngest students and today we jump to the other end of the scale with our oldest!
We kick off the day with our adult stretch n tone class.
A class designed for ladies (and gents!) to come along and simply move and keep fit with absolutely no expectations other than to enjoy our hour socially as well as physically.
Aimed at folks who either want to resume a fitness programme or kick start one in order to keep those minds and bodies active.
Gentle exercises which can be simplified or advanced depending on ability focusing on lowering blood pressure, keeping joints mobile, balance and strength all wrapped up with tunes that we can sing along to.
New members welcome. 10am.

We then jump back to our minis who come along and do ballet and tap and cheer dance. We follow the cheer tots programme and are the only school in Aberdeen licensed to cheer tots. Although the initial programme is aimed at 2-5 yrs, we have developed our own advancements which leads up to further skills and tricks associated with cheer for older children
Spaces available in these classes where young, eager girls and boys aged 4-7 have the best time learning new skills and developing their dance journey and making friends for life

Then it's back to our adult classes where we have jazz fitness and tap. 2 classes designed, again to keep minds and bodies active but this time, through dance based activities.

Last up, it's our musical theatre class where our youngsters sing, dance and act to the best tunes and scripts from films and stage, showcasing their inner West End!

We love a Monday at the Academy! It sees our youngest students from only 18 months begin their dance journey with our "me and my shadow" class where mum/dad or guardian come too and together we guide them through a fun class progressing motor skills, balance, control co-ordination, social development etc all wrapped up in a world of music, props, movement and a whole lot of fun in our bespoke studio providing a safe space for all.

We follow that with our cheer tots programme and then our pre school dance class for girls and boys aged 3-5.

Hi everyone!
We are all now back from the Allstar Worlds in Florida where we were crowned WORLD CHAMPIONS in youth lyrical dance! Against teams from countries such as the USA, Mexico and such like, we are still on cloud 9!!
Our other 2 teams also made top 10 in the world.
We have spaces in some of our children's an Adult classes.
We do lots of recreational classes as well as competitive.
From 18 months to adults
From ballet and tap to acrobatic dance and cheerleading and everything in between!!

90 days until 23 young dancers from locally based Sharon Gill Dance Academy representing Aberdeen Cheer and Dance Company, travel to Orlando, Florida to take part in the Allstar Worlds to compete with the best in the World!
Having won their qualification bids at the iconic Tower Ballroom in Blackpool, these talented young ladies, some as young as 10, have been fundraising so hard to help them achieve their dream on the Worlds Stage.
We are still looking for local companies to sponsor us on our journey.
Businesses or individuals will see us promote and advertise your company/yourself on all of our social media platforms leading up to and including our time in the USA, we have over 2000 followers that we can get the word out to regarding your business however you wish.
