The Jags took on Stonehaven Athletic FC in the Quarter Final of North of Scotland Cup

The Jags started well with a serious of corners and long throws without any clear cut chances with James winning lots in the air up top. Archie made a great save to deny Stoney an opener

Stoney then took the lead with a ball through the middle of defence and the striker fired it in 1-0 at HT plenty of work to do for the Jags who struggled to keep the ball on the deck and find passes

Into the second half and instant impact as a great ball in from Jak was slotted home by JB in style then a mix up at the back from Stoney with good pressure from MONKS had JB in again the man just cannot stop scoring 🟦 Archie made another good save to keep the Jags ahead

Then impact from the bench as Mark SOMERS set up FORREST for a stunning strike to make it 3-1 what a goal 🔥

Stonehaven pilled on the pressure with Archie again keeping the ball out before a goal back in the 94th minute from Stoney to make the remaining 3 minutes of stoppage time nervy for the Jags

The Jags faced St Marnans in league action this afternoon in division 1

Cove started brightly creating multiple chances in the opening 5 minutes with Cowper and James linking up well and Jacks long throw ins causing havoc for the opposition

The Jags deservedly got the opener with hard work from Jack resulted in Harry Hendry stroking the ball home. Jack was then harshly shown a yellow card for a 50/50 tackle on the St Marnans player a good old fashioned coming together…..

Just before HT hard work again from Jack set up James Charleton who lobbed the keeper with a great strike

Into the second half and it was Robbo’s turn to get on the scoresheet after more pressure from the Jags 3-0 up and coasting.

Approaching 60 minutes and a handball from the St Marnans resulted in a penalty with Cowper compossed from the spot to make it 4-0

The Jags then controlled the last 30 minutes and could have made it 5/6

A huge performance from all today against a stuffy side with all members of the squad contributing to a great win with some key players missing
