Northstar CFC 1 - 8 Donside CFC

We started brightly against one of the top teams in the league today and went 1-0 in front thanks to a superb shot by Ben. Disappointingly Donside struck back immediately and we quickly found ourselves 1-2 behind.

Unlike in previous games, we kept getting forward and creating half chances, but the simple truth is that we are not defending well enough as a team and making opponents work hard for their goals. Too many missed tackles and players left unmarked.

After the game we asked the boys to keep believing in themselves. It’s been a tough start to life at this level but the coaches firmly believe we can compete. The only thing to do is learn lessons, work even harder and show up to training with the right attitude.

Really good win for the boys today in a physical game. Started off slowly and went behind after lack of communication between defender and keeper. The boys picked themselves up and got right at the opposition and really took control of the game. The boys were working hard tracking back and going forward with purpose. 2 goals from Charlie, one from Jacob and 2 from Mason, should have had his hatrick but for a contentious offside.

(Both boys receive the award. Mason was non stop up and down the right and got his reward with his goals, Gardies was outstanding at the back breaking up attacks and coming out with the ball. Well done to all the boys!)

Northstar Milan CFC U15's 🧡🖤⚽

Northstar Milan 2 v 4 Formartine Utd FC

Today were away to Formartine in our 3rd game of the season.
Unfortunately for us we didn't start the game the way we wanted and we found ourselves 0-1 after 3 mins, it was unfortunate as we started the game so brightly and just an error in judgement let them through on goal and a early lead, but the boys never let the heads go down, they continued to press their defence and test their keeper and unfortunately for us their keeper was on fine form saving a couple of one on ones with Brodie. But as the half drew on we were definitely the team on the ascendancy and playing some nice 1-2 touch football and it was a joy to watch from the sidelines. But we just couldn't get that equaliser so we ended the half 0-1.

The 2nd half started and again we started brightly but another costly error 3 mins into the half again and we found ourselves 0-2. It was disappointing as we came out the traps and definitely looked like the team that was going to get the next goal, but you will get punished for mistakes in this league. But we were the team on top it only took us a minute after their goal to get one back when we were battling for the ball on the edge of their box and Brodie won the ball and played it into the path of TAYLOR who fired in for his 1st goal of the season and got us right back into the game. We were the team on top and they were definitely backs to wall trying to keep their lead, but 5 mins after our 1st, BRODIE was there to get the game all level at 2-2 after winning the ball in midfield and decided to go on a brilliant run and go past 3-4 boys before firing past the keeper to level the game, nothing more than we or he deserved! The game continued to be played at a great pace with both teams having to work hard not to concede, but as the game entered the last 10 minutes, we started to tire a bit after putting so much work to get the game level and trying to get that winner and if it wasn't for their keeper Brodie could of had at least another 2 and his hat trick. But on 73 minutes they took the lead with just a lucky ball booted into the box and they just managed to have their guy at the back who fired in for 2-3. And literally with a minute to go on 79 mins, their guy picked the ball up on the edge of the box and just fancied his chances and he took his shot and it paid off as it fired past Logan and in for 2-4, there was nothing Logan could of done, it was just a good strike. Ending the game that way.

Northstar Sunnybank CFC 10 - 3 Ellon Meadows FC

A comprehensive victory for Northstar today against a tenacious Ellon side who battled right to the final whistle.

Northstar travelled north this morning to the Meadows in Ellon. The game started with a lively spell of end to end football, with both sides cancelling each other out in the early stages.

As the match went on, however, Northstar began to find their rhythm and gradually took control of the game. The boys switched through the gears, playing some excellent football and showing great teamwork, eventually running out comfortable winners.

A big well done to all the boys for another fantastic performance, and credit to Ellon for their effort throughout.

Close game today, took us a wee bit too long to get going which in the end cost us. But some really good football from the boys!

A great result for the boys today! 👏

The first half started slowly, with the team taking a little time to get going, but once we found our rhythm, the goals started to come.

The boys came out in the second half with much more fight, energy and determination. We controlled the game well and continued to create chances, eventually finishing the game 13–2 winners! 🔥

Northstar played some fantastic football and showed some real determination to get through the game and grab the win.
