A brilliant morning yesterday at BWCAberdeen Business Breakfast event, connecting with other local ladies in business
Our speakers and inspiring souls Katie Watson and Rosee Elliott, who really helped us to connect on a much deeper, heartfelt level - reminding us all of our incredibly powerful inner strength despite our struggles - in this shared human experience ♥️
Feelings really are the language of the soul ✨
Already looking forward to the next one! 🥰

"You're Really Good at This!"
A spontaneously given compliment I received, during a coaching session with a client last week 😁🥰
Eager to make big shifts in upcoming career decisions; she wanted to gain clarity on what she REALLY wanted from it all.
I was in flow, on my "A game" - and so was she; open, trusting, committed, engaged.
And by the end of our session together she was crystal clear and feeling delighted, about her preferences, priorities, and next steps 🙌
When you love what you're doing, and your client is fully engaged, it just feels easy!
And what I absolutely LOVE; is being a part of the process, whereby my clients reconnect with their soul; gaining a deep sense of self knowing, awareness, and purpose.
From there, KNOWING what's right for you, becomes a LOT clearer.
And when you know this, taking the right best next step for you towards it, becomes a hell of a lot easier.
Because the action is inspired.
The desire and motivation for taking it comes from deep within.
And internal motivation is WAY more powerful than external motivation ✨

Busy Getting Nowhere
Last Thursday I took an hour off work and went for a cycle - because I noticed something.
The days prior had been incredibly busy.
Stress had crept in - and I could feel an increased tension in my neck and shoulders, I had a night of poor sleep, and an urge to eat unhealthy food made an appearance too.
The same morning I’d looked at my list of what felt like 100 pressing “To Do’s” and the mental machinery of “Go, Go, Go!” sprang into action.
But..
I didn’t want this.
I wanted to spend the day being purposefully focused and attentive on one thing at a time, instead of getting pulled into rushing through tasks like a bat out of hell; feeling pressured x100.
Plus, I had a coaching call scheduled, and I knew the space I wanted to give my client was the total opposite of rushed.
In fact; the space I love to share with my clients is by total contrast, deliciously spacious!
✨Peaceful.
✨Calm.
✨Unhurried.
✨Expansive.
A space in which time seems to slow down.
Why?
Because there’s a sense of Presence.
In which I invite my clients to fully occupy, the here and now.
Which in turn, gives rise to all manner of wonderful insights and epiphanies 🌠
So I noticed the building sense of overwhelm – paused - and took a step back from my list.
I quickly re-appraised it, noted only 1 item that really HAD to be done first - did it - and got out on my bike.
I spent a wonderful hour reconnecting with nature, and myself. (Nature is a Master at helping us reconnect to ourselves).
Easing myself back into that space of slow, intentional focus - which is exactly the experience I enjoy bringing to my clients.
I even allowed myself to leave the phone at home - so there’s no accompanying picture for this post.
Overwhelm and busyness are recurring themes in a lot of my clients – and indeed most of our – lives. But they rarely bring quality of life.
When life gets you stressed and overwhelmed, tune back into the things you love, that bring you joy and peace.
Take a step back.
Pause.
Reconnect.
To You.
To your bigger goal.
To your purpose.
Take a conscious breath, and purposefully choose where you next wish to place and focus your attention.
When you slow down, it actually helps you work through your to dos far more productively. When you're fully focused on something, you do it better.
It's not rocket science, but sometimes it does feel like a little bit of magic ✨

One of the many inspiring women I've had the pleasure and privilege to meet and connect with, during my adventure into the business realm
Spent a lovely afternoon catching up and having a laugh with Julie Daly of Verano Interiors on
The cafe we visited clearly got the memo too! 📯
Here's to all the incredible women in my life, not just today, but everyday ✨

Sometimes you just need to split, and look at different surroundings!
A weekend well spent, pausing and relaxing with my number one supporter and fan 😊 aka Mum
Remember to take breaks folks; short, medium or long.

✨ Water
✨ Nourishing food

Try to incorporate more of just one of these into your daily routine this week - and notice the difference it makes, to how you feel

Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire 🥳
If you have not yet made it to the Aberdeen Health and Wellbeing Festival taking place each January, then I highly recommend you put it in your diary already, for 2026
There are TONS of local offerings to help you feel well, healthy, and connected, within your local community. On Saturday, I was inspired to learn about even more of these, including 🚴🏻♀️ 🧘🏻♀️ 🏊 and better 😴
And it was great to see friends there too - Dr Aurelie Petitclerc of Chiro.bliss and Granite City Chiropractic - is a highly experienced and intuitive Chiropractor, with a passion for working with mothers and babies.
So,
What's your health goal this year?
And can you shop local, to fulfil it?

Self Care for the Holidays
Christmas can be a wonderful time. But high expectations can also precipitate tension, stress, and fatigue.
Difficult relationship dynamics can surface, and the pressure to make everything "perfect" can be just too much.
So - this Christmas - give yourself the gift of taking care of yourself.
This will look different for each person; but some pointers include:
✨ Prioritise Rest
✨ Take Breaks from socialising when you need to - from small, 5 minute breathers, to saying no to an event invitation
✨ Express Your Preferences
✨ Communicate Openly - share if you feel overloaded, and ask for support
✨ Listen to Your Body - when you've had enough say so - instead of ignoring, pushing through, and feeling unwell
✨ Do an Activity you Enjoy - whether that's a bracing wintry walk, or curling up with a good book
And, perhaps most importantly;
✨ Slow Down - The biggest gift you can give to yourself and others, is your moment by moment PRESENCE. Being together.
Christmas does not have to be perfect. And there are no actual rules. You can spend it however you like (I'm eating out - Chicken Methi curry 🤤)
Aim for your own version of a beautifully IMPERFECT Christmas, and most important, savour each moment! (pun fully intended)
Warm festive wishes to all 🎄

Absolutely chuffed to receive this feedback from a recent client. Seeing her progress has been both heart warming and inspiring - I'm grinning like a Chesire cat 😁
"I contacted Dr. Rachel for coaching, as a small business owner who struggled with self-confidence, especially in networking situations.
I've always found networking a challenge. I often felt tense and uneasy, even though I knew it was essential, for growing my business.
Dr. Rachel was incredibly kind, non-judgmental, and a fantastic listener.
She gave me the space to work through the challenges I was facing, and her advice made an immediate difference.
Thanks to her guidance, I now have a checklist that helps me feel more relaxed and prepared before networking events.
Her support also helped me work through some personal challenges, which has been truly invaluable.
I highly recommend Dr. Rachel's coaching for anyone looking to build confidence and gain insights, to help both personally and professionally.
I’m so grateful for her patience and understanding, throughout this journey."

Human Beings
This busy, overstimulating world perpetually encourages us to do more. And more. And more.
But when was the last time you just let yourself be?
*To focus on the meal you're eating
*To feel each step you're taking
*To stop and notice your natural flow of breathing
As a friend recently reminded me, "We're human beings, not human doings."
With a particularly looming to do list of late, I felt tempted to 'get stuff done' today. And yes, I'll admit, this post is a task on the list - although I am only allowing myself to post it, because it feels inspired.
But the deeper me needed rest.
Disconnection from screens and to do's.
So I made the choice to leave the rest of that list alone for the day, and focus instead on restoration - taking a particularly slow, mindful meander, along the coast.
These small acts of reconnecting to the present moment ground us, and are vital for our wellbeing, because they help our minds (usually on overdrive) to slow down too.
What small act of present moment awareness, can you incorporate into your own day to day?
I guarantee you'll notice a benefit.
