🏒 Adult EDGE / Scrim 🏒

We’re pleased to announce another Adult Edge Sessions on Saturday 20th June for a full evening on the ice with Aberdeen Lynx EDGE Academy.

2 hours of on-ice coaching covering:
• Skating
• Stickhandling
• Passing
• Shooting

Designed for all abilities, the session will then be followed by a mixed scrimmage.

Whether you’ve just started playing, have years of experience, want to learn new skills or sharpen up existing ones, this session is open to everyone looking to develop their game in a fun and supportive environment.

Open to all adult players.

🕗 8:15–10:00pm – Scrim (£15)

Completing the leadership team for the 2026/27 season is Assistant Captain Callum Smith.

At 33 years old, Callum is one of the longest-serving members of the Aberdeen Lynx roster, having come through the club’s junior development system before progressing into the senior team.

Year after year, Callum has demonstrated the standards, commitment and consistency needed to remain a key part of the Lynx lineup.

A highly experienced defenceman, Callum is never one to shy away from the physical side of the game and brings a hard-working, competitive presence every time he takes to the ice.

As the final member of the leadership team to be announced, Callum’s experience, leadership and understanding of what it means to represent the Lynx make him an important part of the group both on and off the ice.

Another member of the leadership team is back for the 2026/27 season as Assistant Captain Sean Dyer returns to the Aberdeen Lynx roster.

A tough forward who never shies away from the hard work, Sean is the type of player every team needs. Whether it’s battling along the boards, chasing down loose pucks or putting his body on the line for the team, he brings a relentless work ethic every time he takes to the ice.

His efforts were rewarded last season with 8 goals and 12 assists, but it’s the commitment and determination he shows every shift that makes him such an important part of the Lynx lineup.

Assistant Captain Owen Michie becomes the latest member of the Aberdeen Lynx leadership team to return for the 2026/27 season.

A local lad and home-grown defenceman, Owen has been a key part of the Lynx blue line since returning to the club in 2021. An experienced defenceman and Assistant Captain, Owen plays the game hard and brings a physical edge every time he steps onto the ice.

His powerful shot from the point and trademark one-timer make him a constant threat from the blue line, helping him record 6 goals and 6 assists last season.

As he enters another season in Lynx colours, Owen will once again bring leadership, experience and plenty of firepower to the blue line.

Aberdeen Lynx are delighted to welcome back captain Ben Edmonds for the 2026/27 season.

Now entering his sixth season with the club, Ben has worn the captain’s ‘C’ for the last three campaigns and continues to be a key figure both on and off the ice.

A highly skilled forward with excellent hands and vision, Ben’s experience, including time competing in the Elite League, continues to be a major asset for the Lynx. His ability to create opportunities, influence games and drive the team’s performance continues to make him a key part of the Lynx roster.

His experience and leadership are equally valuable away from the puck, helping guide and support the younger players coming through the club. As captain, Ben leads by example every time he steps onto the ice and continues to set the standards within the Lynx dressing room.

We are delighted to have Ben back in Lynx colours for another season.

Edinburgh Capitals are delighted to announce the signing of fan favourite Lennox the Lynx for the 2026/27 SNL campaign 🦁

After years of entertaining crowds in Aberdeen, Lennox now makes the move to the capital, bringing with him a strong reputation for fan engagement, questionable dance moves, and an impressive ability to appear in every team photo whether invited or not.

A product of the Aberdeen mascot development pathway, the Scandinavian-born forward has reportedly been tempted south by promises of first-line minutes, unlimited Dreamies, a heated scratching post, and his own designated cat flap at Murrayfield Ice Arena.

Last season’s statistics included:

⚠️ 4 warnings for embelishment

A Capitals representative commented:

“We’ve been looking to add more character to the dressing room and Lennox ticked every box. Admittedly some of those boxes were cardboard, but he still ticked them.”

An Edinburgh Capitals official added:

“We weren’t actively looking for another import, but when a player of Lennox’s calibre becomes available, you simply have to pounce. His pawsession numbers are outstanding.”

The transfer fee remains undisclosed, although sources close to the deal suggest it involved three tins of tuna, a laser pointer and private veterinary care.

Everyone at the Capitals would like to welcome Lennox to Edinburgh and wish him every success in his new colours.
