It won’t be a surprise to read that I’m shockingly bad at keeping up with social media, both for the business and personal pages.
Because of that, I’ve decided to close down the Yoga Spot’s page.
For now, I’ll still be active on Instagram, so if you haven’t already, I’d really appreciate it if you could give The Yoga Spot a follow there.

A huge thank you to everyone who made it to the annual Solstice class, and to those who joined the ‘Chai & Mince Pies’ social yesterday. ❤️

I’m not the best at taking photos, but did manage to take a couple during the class. An extra special shout-out to for capturing the social so beautifully, thank you 🙏

I really felt the love yesterday. Being a self-employed yoga teacher can sometimes feel like a tough gig when you’re working on your own, and having such a supportive community truly means the world. 🥰

Thank you to every single one of you who have attended a class this year and continues to support The Yoga Spot. It never goes unnoticed.

If I don’t see you over the festive period, take care and I look forward to seeing you in 2026 ✨

Frost on the ground, a beautiful blue sky, a few clouds… and maybe even a hint of snow! My idea of the perfect winter’s day. ❄️

It is mid-November, so none of this should be a surprise, but after the mild weather we’ve been having it still feels like a total shock to the system.

My ‘winter body’ has officially arrived: creakier, achy joints, slower starts, and a gentle reminder to be kinder to ourselves. Some days call for a softer practice, and that’s absolutely okay.

Bring your layers, bring your winter body, bring your best creaks and we’ll warm up together. 🔥🧘‍♀️✨

This week off has been all about my own yoga practice with my long-time teacher, . One of the rare chances in the year to fully focus on my own breath and body.

It’s also a time to reconnect with fellow yoga teachers and dear friends I usually only see once or twice a year. A couple of them are very into cold water dipping. Me? Not so much… unless there’s a sauna involved. 😉

But this time, as I ooo’d and ahhh’d my way into, what felt like icy 🥶, waters of Loch Lomond, Sarah said: “Michele, think of your most challenging yoga posture… this isn’t so hard.”
She wasn’t wrong. In I plunged. ❄️🧘‍♀️

Still not a habit I’m racing to adopt, but I do get the appeal.

It’s not all headstands and handstands on the beach 😉 Sometimes 5-10 minutes reflection enjoying the complete calm and peace is needed. Amazingly not a soul to be seen for miles! I was almost tempted to take a dip 😮 🥶

If you’d like some calm and peace within a class I have a Yin/Restorative class on Sunday 11 May at 10.30am.
