Football might not be coming home… but it’s certainly coming to ASV! ⚽️

Join us this Sunday for our FREE Summer of Sport World Cup Celebration as Argentina and Spain prepare to go head-to-head on the biggest stage of them all.

Thanks to Sportscotland Summer of Sport funding, we’re excited to be hosting a full day of free sport, games and activities to get everyone into the the World Cup spirit.

From 12pm–4pm, head to our indoor football pitch for:

• Free inflatables for all
• Fun football activities
• Free prize giveaways
• Stalls from local football clubs and community groups
• From 2pm–4pm, you can also try out Mobile Gaming Van from The Gaming Experience Aberdeen.

Throughout the day we are also hosting free sports sessions for the whole family and ‘give it a go’ sessions.

Get active together this summer with our free All In family sports sessions at Aberdeen Sports Village.

Taking place from 23 July to 2 August as part of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, families can choose from a range of session times to suit them and enjoy swimming, squash, pickleball, badminton, table tennis and Super Shallow Splash.

The All In programme is supported by National Lottery funding through Sportscotland, helping us create more opportunities for families to get active together this summer.

All sessions are free, but advance booking is required. Please book a space for everyone taking part.

If you’re passionate about teaching, enjoy helping people of all ages and abilities build confidence in the water, and want to be part of a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

A day of free family sport is coming to ASV this Sunday!

Join us on Sunday 19 July for our Summer of Sport World Cup Celebration Day, with a range of free activities to help families stay active this summer holidays.

Take your pick from badminton, pickleball, table tennis and dry dive. Plus, head to our football pitches to enjoy free inflatables, a mobile gaming van and fun football activities for children.

Everyone is welcome, whether you're an ASV member or visiting us for the first time. The sports sessions are free to attend, but advance booking is required for each person attending.

There are still plenty of spaces available at our free family swim sessions taking place from Tuesday 21 to Thursday 23 July as part of the Festival of the Sea programme.

Whether you're a regular visitor or it's your first time at ASV, it's a great chance to spend quality time together in the pool during the summer holidays.

We're pleased to be hosting the Scottish Swimming Summer Meet at ASV.

Please note that there will be a full Aquatics Centre closure on the following dates while the event takes place:

• Thursday 9 July
• Friday 10 July
• Saturday 11 July
• Sunday 12 July

This includes the 50m Pool, 25m Pool and Health Suite.

If you're visiting ASV during this period, please allow extra time for your journey, as the car parks may be busier than usual.

The Aquatics Centre will reopen as normal following the event. Before travelling, please check the ASV app, booking system or website for the latest information.

Entries are now open for the Denis Law Corporate 7's, as part of the Legacy Games!

Bring your colleagues together for an evening of fun competitive 7aside football while supporting two fantastic local charities – Aberdeen Sports Village and the Denis Law Legacy Trust. Every team entered helps raise funds for local community sport initiatives.

Date: Thursday, 23 July 2026 | 5:30pm – 10:00pm
Location: Aberdeen Sports Village – Indoor Pitch
Team Size: 10 players per team
Entry Fee: £180 per team (inc. VAT)

Winning Team Receives:
- The Denis Law Corporate 7's Trophy and winners medals
- Tickets to an Aberdeen FC home league match of your choice (kindly donated by Aberdeen Football Club.
- A 3-month ASV Lifestyle Membership for every team member
- A 4-month advertising slot on ASV's digital screens for your organisation or a charity of your choice.

Runner-Up Receives:
- The Denis Law Corporate 7's runner-up medals.
- Tickets to an Aberdeen FC home league match of your choice.
- A 1-month ASV Lifestyle Membership for every team member
Tournament Format.

The event will be played tournament-style, with a group stage followed by knockout rounds. Groups will be drawn at random before kick-off.
