Scottish Hockey North District were sad to hear that Pete Bavidge, founder of Quasar Hockey Club has passed away after a short illness.
Pete was a stalwart of North hockey, and put a huge amount of passion and energy into developing hockey in Moray over a period of 30 years and more.
He was an enthusiastic supporter of both indoor and outdoor forms of the game, and had a track record of developing young players at all levels - some of whom who would go on to represent Scotland. Pete achieved a lot in a career as a player, coach and driving force on the Quasar committee and he will be sadly missed.
Our condolences go out to his family and the wider Moray hockey community ahead of his funeral next week.
