🏉🎉

It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for…

We are immensely proud to announce that the fundraising total for the 2026 Sam Lobban Trophy has been confirmed as £6,100 💚

The money raised this year will be going to aid local mental health projects and support services provided by Cairns Counselling and SAMH. We know that the money raised will be put to incredible use and to help those who really need it.

Even more amazing is that after this year’s efforts, the total raised since 2018 is now at £38,000.

This would never be possible without the continued support of our sponsors, partners, attendees, and the rugby community across Scotland.

A final round-up of our end-of-season awards! 🏉

Our Coaches’ Awards were presented to Rob Temple and Marc Walden in recognition of their outstanding commitment and contribution throughout the season.

A big thank you and well done also to Fraser Rose and Fergus Jenkins for their fantastic work supporting youth coaching in local schools. We’re grateful to Thistle Sports Aberdeen for kindly donating shop vouchers to both recipients as part of this award.

We also celebrated our Primary Age Group and Girls’ Sections. We are incredibly fortunate to have so many fantastic players, coaches, volunteers and families involved in our club.

Congratulations to everyone on a brilliant season. There has been some fantastic rugby on display, but just as importantly, plenty of fun, new friendships and great memories made along the way.

We look forward to seeing you all next season and getting stuck into another year of brilliant rugby!

🏉 Farewell to the Hepburn Family 🏉

We say a special goodbye to the Hepburn family as they leave Aberdeen to begin a new adventure.

Over the years, the Hepburns have been a huge part of our club, with all four children proudly representing the Wanderers from the youngest age groups right through to U16 level. Their commitment, enthusiasm and support have helped make our club what it is today.

A special thank you also goes to Iain and Mairi, who have given so much of their time through coaching, volunteering and supporting countless club activities along the way.

To mark their contribution, the family received gifts from the various age groups, along with a club shield bearing the words:

“Once a Wanderer, Always a Wanderer.”

We are incredibly grateful for everything the Hepburn family has done for the club and wish them every success and happiness in the future.

You will always be part of the Wanderers family, and you’ll always be welcome back. 💙💚
