Michelle came to us with the big goal of wanting to love her body again

A holiday to Mexico on the horizon was also a nice push for her to start

She’s now…

8lbs down

Lost 10cm around the body

Her confidence is growing every week

And for the first time in her life she actual looks forward to coming into the gym

(She told me the first time we met that she’s one of those people that full on hates the gym…)

And that last point is the one that matters the most

Because the results on the scales are great

But going from someone who never thought they’d enjoy the gym to someone who now leaves every session feeling brilliant

That’s the result that actually lasts

And that’s the sign of someone turning into their best 2.0 self

Message me ā€œProject 2.0ā€ and we will get you started the same way we did with MichellešŸ¤

Ticked something off the bucket list last week…

Snorkelling🤿

No big / deep reason behind me wanting to do it

It was just one of those things that had been sitting on my mind to go try for a while

And I finally just went and did it

And honestly that’s kind of the point I want to make…

The longer I coach people, the more I realise that the things you keep saying you’ll do someday don’t happen on their own

You just have to decide to do them

I mean, I’ve been telling myself the past 4-5 years I’ll do snorkelling on holiday

And I’ve used all the made up excuses under the sun…

I don’t have goggles or arm bands incase I drown

You need to wait an hour after eating to swim because of cramps

How no one is gonna take care of the business if I get eaten by a shark🤣

And because of that (along with me not being a great swimmer) I’ve never done it until now

The same goes for your fitness

It’s never the perfect time

There’s always something in the way or a thought in your head that’s gonna stop you

But at some point you just have to go for it

Message me ā€œ2.0ā€ and we can finally get you off the fence you’ve been sitting on

P.S - that can be your equivalent to me doing snorkelling and not getting eaten by a shark🤣

September is busier in the gym than January

Here’s why…

The kids are back at school

The routine that disappeared over summer has come back the last few weeks

Summer went fast and people realise they aren’t quite where they wanted to be at this time of the year

And now the Christmas party is being mentioned in the workplace

January has all the noise & attention

The new year new me posts, the resolutions, the 30 day challenges

But September has something January doesn’t…

A genuine real reason to start

Not a resolution, not the New Year hype

Just a routine that’s come back and the quiet realisation that there can’t be anymore waiting around

If that’s where you’re at right now,

Message me ā€œSeptemberā€ and let’s make the most of the next few monthsšŸ†

This book changed how I coach our members…

Most fitness programs are purely outcome driven

Lose 2 stone
Drop a dress size
Hit this number on the scales by a certain date

But I read something in Atomic Habits that completely shifted how we go about this in our program

It’s called the three layers of change

1.) Most people always start with the outcome
(The result they want)

2.) Then they think about the processes they need to start to achieve that
(What new habits and actions to do)

3.) But the ones who actually make it stick? They start with identity
(Who do you want to be because of it)

Not leading with ā€œI want to lose weightā€

Instead think like ā€œI’m someone who looks after themselves and is into fitnessā€

I applied it to my own life first

And it workedšŸ˜Ž

So I built it into our programšŸš€

Every member who joins starts with a lifestyle audit

It’s a deep look at their current behaviours, their daily life and who they actually want to become

From that we build them a personalised habit tracker

One that is built specifically around who you are now and who you want to be

Because when that gap between the 2 closes through the right & specific daily habits, that’s when your identity starts to shift alongside it

And when your identity shifts to wanting to be the 2.0 better version of yourself…

Everything else follows like the scale weight, the confidence, your results

That’s what Project 2.0 is built around

Message me ā€œ2.0ā€ and let’s figure out who you really want to becomeāœŒšŸ¼

ā€œ2kg weight loss is nothing to brag about..ā€

I had a conversation with some of the ladies in our group session the past week

They were commenting on how much harder an exercise feels when you add just 1 or 2kg to the weight

And they are absolutely right🤣

In the gym, 1 or 2kg is a massive difference

So I flipped it on them...

Because when they step on the scales and they are 1 or 2kg down, it’s never enough…

They want more weight loss
They want it faster
They scrunch their nose up at the lack of progress and move on without giving themselves a second of credit for it

But in the gym, that same 1 or 2kg feels significant enough to change everything about how hard an exercise is

So why doesn’t it count when it comes off your body?

1kg is 1kg

Whether it’s in the gym lifting a new heavier weight or coming off your body

The progress is real whether you’re ready to give yourself credit for it or notšŸ‘ŠšŸ¼

Massive milestone complete for our membersšŸ†

Saturday, we completed one big hike with the team

Climbing a munrošŸ—»

5 of us turned up
(6 if you include Lottie the dog lol)

And for 3 of them, it was their very first munro that they completed!

12miles

6 hours 2 minutes later

And some amazing views along the way

What a brilliant Saturday spent with the team!šŸ¤

I’m currently sitting in Edinburgh airport waiting for a flight

I’m off on a summer holidayšŸ˜Ž

But sitting here waiting to board, I’ve clocked something about myself but also more interestingly something about other people…

Most people, they start a fitness journey & then can’t wait for a holiday

Usually because it means a break from the healthy eating, a break from the gym and a break from all of it when it comes to your habits & routines

For me, I find it the opposite

Every time I get time away, my brain slows down, the noise stops, and without fail I find myself thinking about my future

Not work future
Not the future of the business

Just me and my future

More specifically… how I want to feel in 10 years time
& how I want my body to move

Obviously less pains & aches,
To be fitter,
Stronger and have more energy

At the same time, don’t get me wrong...

Holidays aren’t fitness retreats for me

I relax, I eat well, I enjoy myself

But something about the peace and quiet strips everything back and makes me think clearly about what actually matters

And what I always come back to is -

The way you treat your body right now will have a direct impact onto your habits and routines of the you that exists in 10 years time

Most people only think about how they want to look for their holiday in 3 months time

But a truly successful fitness journey should get you questioning yourself on how you want to feel on your holiday in 10 years time

Penny for your thoughts?
Am I thinking too much before my flight?🤣
