NOSFL Domino’s Cup Round 1

Glentanar FC 2-3 Rothie Rovers

Heartbreak in the cup as a 91st minute goal saw Rothie through to the next round. Lightning start from the glens saw a corner header goalwards by Simmers, with a fantastic save falling to Ally, who expertly dinked over the Rothie keeper. Rothie levelled the game and soon after Glens would retake the lead as Ally slipped Ross through on goal and he lobbed the ball into the top right corner for the lead.

The second half saw a lot of Rothie pressure and they levelled in the 75th minute before a rebound fell to their striker in the 91st and he tucked it home to sen them through.

Glens motm was Jamie Moir, who battled well in the middle of the park protecting the back 4 and showed real quality when in possession.

Glentanar FC 1-3 Burghead Thistle

Another disappointing result, where Burghead took an early lead and managed the game very well after taking it. Glens tried to fight back in and were awarded a lifeline when Tito silva was brought down in the box and converted his penalty. Unfortunately not enough to change the result.

NOSFL Elginshire Cup

Newmachar 3-0 Glentanar FC

Disappointing result in the Elgin shire cup opener. A poor first half dealt the damage with some clinical attacks from Newmachar. A much improved second half saw the majority of possession and chances go our way but the Newmachar keeper earned his clean sheet with some fantastic saves.
