It is OFFICIALLY (albeit delayed) the start of the season! This is a throwback to one of my two trips up to see sac sporting in Scotland, photographed by Country Sport Scotland 💥
I don't think you can ever prepare for the hair-raising sound of skeins of geese coming overhead.
As a reminder, shooting supports a huge network of rural businesses and jobs, from gamekeepers and beaters to local pubs, hotels, butchers, game dealers and countless other small businesses that benefit from money being spent in rural communities.
It’s also a reminder of the value of wild game as a sustainable, local food source. Whether pheasant, partridge or wild goose, getting more game from the field to the plate remains an important part of the industry.
Alongside this, shooting helps fund habitat management and conservation work that benefits a wide range of wildlife across the UK.
Here's to a safe and successful season ahead 🪶🦆💥
