Our second Charity MISS Miscarriage Support, provide fantastic support around the NorthEast:

“MISS are the only early pregnancy loss charity in the north east of Scotland, providing support for women and men who have experienced a miscarriage. MISS were founded in 2017 in Aberdeen and have helped over 5,000 individuals. MISS offer a variety of different platforms of support including face to face groups and 1:1s, a 24 hour phone service as well as liaising with hospitals across Scotland to provide them with additional materials including memory boxes, pregnancy after loss bags and overnight bags. MISS rely solely on funding and fundraising to ensure the services we provide remain free of charge, we appreciate any support no matter how big or small, it all makes a huge difference.”

"House of Dodge was started back in 2020 when we recognised how difficult it was to find dodgeball specific equipment all in one place. Not to mention the lack of content and media coverage too!
That's why we decided to launch HOD, combining our 22+ years of dodgeball experience, to get all of the best equipment and knowledge (and brains) all in one place, with the vision to grow the sport outside of the traditional boundaries.
Having both played for our countries and numerous other teams on multiple occasions, as well as World Dodgeball Champs together in Mexico and Canada, we like to think we know a thing or two about dodgeball. And we hope you can join us on our journey!

Our ambition...
..is to help grow and support the dodgeball community in the UK by providing ALL players with the gear they need to be the best they can on and off the court."

House of Dodge are supplying custom dodgeballs for the event, as well as setting up a stall on the day to showcase some of their wares!

Looking after your mental health is very important to us here, and Shirley’s Space is going great things in the local community to promote this!
Shirley’s Space was opened on August 2019, after the su***de of Shirley McCombie. The facility was opened in Crimond to cover North Aberdeenshire although we now also support quite a few people as far up as Nairn and as far down as Manchester.
We offer support via texting, phone calls, facetime, 1:1 support, home visits, prison visits and groups.
We currently provide 65 hours of individual support as well as our many group sessions. Since opening there are 75 people who had started the process of su***de who are still here that may not be without the intervention of Shirley’s Space. It would not just have been the 75 who would have been affected had they carried through with their plans but also their families, friends, work colleagues, neighbours etc. The ripple effect is immeasurable.
We have 3 paid staff members on a part time contract , 16 listener volunteers and 2 councillors. We can offer CBT ( Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Life mapping and Psychotherapy.

Our groups are currently:
Tues 10-2 drop in for a chat and lunch
Tues 2-4 men’s craft group
Thurs 1.30-3.30 ladies craft group
Thurs 7pm-9pm games night
Sat 10-12 coffee and chat
We are so grateful for the ongoing support of our community , without which it would be so difficult to keep the service going.

We thought we would look back to where the Biscuit Cup all began!

The original Biscuit cup was a tournament held in March 2019, after the Scottish open was cancelled just 5 days before the event. Biscuit King Paul Duncan saw an opportunity to get all these players together and run a charity tournament. Just like Biscuit cup 2.0, this was a tournament open to everyone with single player entry and balanced teams. We managed to get enough for 6 teams (Soggy Biscuits, Chocolate Dodgegestives ,The MasterBakers, Weirdoughs, Limp Biscuits and Knead to Dodge), with team “Soggy Biscuits” being the overall winners.

We are now looking to make this a regular event, bringing different players together for a fun shared experience in Scotland!
