Very interesting day with Equi-ed Scotland learning about kinesiology taping. Already have a few clients in mind I think will benefit from this so looking forward to trying techniques
Born and raised in the Scottish countryside horses have been a large part of my life.
With an early association with these graceful animals I began riding at a very young age becoming involved in all things ‘equine’. I spent four years in Edinburgh completing a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy, during which time I developed a keen interest in complementary therapies, gaining a qualification in Seated Acupressure Massage. I am also qualified in holistic and Indian head massage and

Fire on after a busy week doing horses and full day planned tomorrow - not loving this cold weather 🥶
Had some lovely feedback 🧡
‘He is standing properly and feels so much freer than yesterday. All his exercises went well. Am so happy with his progress and I learnt so much yesterday, so thanks again ☺️’
Last horses seen before the festivities- thank you to all my lovely clients who have supported me this year - here’s to lots of happy sound horses for the 2025 season

Very interesting session working in collaboration with local vets to advise on the best way to reduce scar tissue and adhesions whilst maintaining joint mobility. Also able to work on compensatory muscular issues post box rest. Really great to have a team approach and looking forward to reviewing in a few weeks
I’ve been doing a lot of scars lately (humans & horses!) and thought I’d briefly talk through a few of them. This first one was a wire or nail injury to the face. When I’m assessing scars I’m looking to see how they impact surrounding tissue and whether scar tissue/adhesions are impacting on function. This horse had had an infection where the scar was tight - infection almost always causes some underlying adhesions. On this horse it was more about aesthetics and when I reviewed him the scar had healed really well & was barely visible. # Scarwork Therapy
