Unfortunately the weather gods have not been kind and the Oldmachar Royal British Legion has chosen to stay closed until Thursday the 8th at least because of the inclement weather. Our plans for war have therefor been postponed until the 15th. Hope to see you all then

A couple of winter themed tables from one of our Bolt Action Tournaments, which considering the weather outside is rather topical, but not tropical. The club opens again for business on Wed 7th January 2026 and we hope to see a few of our newer members come along, along with some our trusty older ones. In the meantime, Happy New Year to all and the very best for 2026.

WARG is not just a "Bolt Action" club, most any game can be played, and the only thing we cannot cater for is LARP. For those of you who do not know that is Live Action Role Playing, which is a bit too dynamic for the inside of the RBL at Oldmachar. So basically all war gamers, card players, board gamers role players. There are plenty of table, no annual fees, though there is a fee each night of £4.00 per person, and we are open from 6.30pm to 9.45pm (with 15 minutes of clean up time) each Wednesday starting on the 7th of January. We are not a new club (established in 2022) we are well established with over 100 members but we would like to see more come in on a games night. Because the Legion is a licensed premises then anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and all drinks and food consumed must be bought from the bar...... but its cheap! Parking is a little awkward but not impossible, and you will get a friendly welcome. With the lack of venues for gaming in Aberdeen you will find that we are pretty roomy, with plenty of tables and chairs. So come along play your games and chuck some dice. Hopefully we will see some new faces on the 7th.,
