What a perfect morning for this adventurous crew! A little half day retreat of Pilates & Breathwork, followed by a guided ice plunge session & wood fired sauna! It was a pleasure to host for a wonderful long term client's big birthday 🤍❄️🔥.
Some guided breathwork before venturing into the icy plunge is excellent for helping you to stay calm & focused.

It's very heartening when long term clients who I have worked with through troublesome chronic pain issues come out the other side & send me notes like this.
It's not just that we get out what we put in but that sometimes what we need is to give ourselves more time to stop & focus on what our body is telling us.
Awareness is our best tool.
If your mind is rushing frantically from thought to thought you can't expect your body to perform well or be comfortable doing challenging balance work. This is where bringing your attention to how you are breathing comes in.
We always start with a few minutes of calming breathwork as it settles your mind & brings you into a more focused state. Try this yourself, spend a few minutes slowing & calming the breath before starting any exercise & see how you feel.
From here you'll enjoy your exercise more & also get more out of it. You can't separate the mind & the body & you can't separate the breath, the mind or the body. They all impact each other & changing one impacts the others, both positively & negatively. Standing awkwardly impacts how you feel mentally as does breathing inefficiently.

I've signed up for 's full cohort of trainings so will be delving into them in 2026, you can look forward to lots of new moves & insights.

Great trip to Llandysul in Wales, Thea was first on Sunday and got promoted to Prem in her canoe!!! 🔥
