Down with my parents (chief photographers / dog walkers) in Devon today and had the opportunity to try out a SUP surfboard.

Man I was awful! The board was way above my ability level having only ridden inflatables before, but isn’t that a great joy!

The joy of sucking at something… this is me getting out of the water loving it but at my technical worst. Knowing that every time I try from now on I’ll get 100% better than today, then 90, 80,70 etc till boring mastery … learning is such a gift, the joy is in the journey not the result!

So begs a question: What are you hoping to be rubbish at next?
