Trekking Breaks 📅 are definitely the full experience 🐴 Guests might stay for a couple of nights as well as trekking during the day, having breakfast and lunch with the Grange and🥙 dinner out somewhere nice and local 🐎 Our overnighters usually have the opportunity to see where the horses graze at night, what we feed them, field rotation methods, and other daily routeens. 🌍

All creatures great and small to be found at the Grange. Just like our horses, the cats have a range of personalities. Coming and going as they please, friendly or private, cuddly or aloof.

💜 Gentle Giants 💙
We love our gentle giants just as much as we love our little Welsh ponies. They allow us to carry a wide variety of customer heights, weights, ages and experiences to the tipety tops of the our mountainous world, but it doesn't mean they're ment to carry the weight of the world.
Our weight limit is 14stone or 90kg. This is for the health and well-being of the horses, in particular, their backs, so please respect this limit we have put in place and be honest.

A rider should be working with their horses at all times, to land gently when mounting, to lean forward up hills, back going down hills and balancing their weight through their feet on either side into the stirrups.

When trekking with your new four-legged friend, you become a team. You look after them and they'll look after you. 💖

Your pony match?
When trekking with us, we always pair people with horses that suit your height, weight, ability, experience, and personality. You can't always ride the horse you want just because they're a pretty colour, and sometimes we pair our newer young riders with our gentle giants. This is all because we want you to be a good match with our four-legged friends while also maintaining the horses health and wellbeing. Please note, this is also why our weight limit is 14stone or 90kg. Don't worry, if you've riden with us before, you are more than welcome to request the same horse again, so you can build on your relationships and improve those skills 💅

Last week, one of our own, Grange Boss and previous Champion Jessica Griffiths attended one of the most important events in the country's agricultural calendar, representing as, the Wales Trekking and Riding Associations show liasion and presentor. Jessica warded this year's entrants with their rosettes while congratulating them on their excellent turnout and demonstrations of their ability to trek safely it in the countryside.
