The Monmouthshire Golf Club was founded in 1892 as a 9 hole course. Now a par 70 course it is a superb example of a mature parkland course which is as tough as it is beautiful, and it is said to be the oldest 18 hole golf course in the County of Monmouthshire.

From The Monmouthshire Archives: the series begins...
We have been digging into the history of The Monmouthshire Golf Club and there are some brilliant stories hidden in the club archives.
From the beginnings of the club in 1892 to famous members, old competitions, the changing course and the stories behind some of the trophies we still play for today.
Over the coming months we are going to start sharing them.

There’s over a century of golfing history beneath your feet at The Monmouthshire. ⛳
Our course was designed by five time Open Champion and renowned golf course architect James Braid.
His influence can still be seen and felt around the course today, with a layout that rewards good course management and continues to challenge golfers generation after generation.
The Monmouthshire is also a member of the Association of James Braid Courses, giving our members access to preferential green fee rates at participating Braid courses across the UK and Ireland.
A little bit of golfing history right here in Monmouthshire. 💚

🏌️♀️ Today is Ladies Open Day at Monmouthshire Golf Club! ⛳
We are delighted to welcome over 100 ladies to the club today for what promises to be a fantastic day of golf.
The course is ready, the competition is on and we hope everyone has a brilliant day with us.
A very warm welcome to all our visitors and the very best of luck to everyone taking part.

Wow! What a Final
Another close match that went right to the wire
With the scores level at 2 each, match number 4 went to the 21st hole
unfortunately we didn't secure the victory

Semi Final Update…
In another tight match with the scores level at 2-2, Monmouthshire win the final match and progress through to the FINAL!
All ladies have secured individual wins during the weekend, and can look forward to a final against Aberdovey or Pyle & Kenfig

Ladies Welsh Team Championship Update...
A great first round win over Glamorganshire in the morning set up an afternoon quarter final match with Pontardawe.
The great play continued in the afternoon which saw us secure the win, and our ladies can look forward to a semi final clash against Wrexham or Royal St David's tomorrow morning
