We kicked off Open Week with beautiful sunshine and, safe to say, ended with a LOT of rain! 🌧️ But that certainly didn’t stop us! 💪⛳️

We’re delighted to say that the 2026 Abergele Golf Club Open Week has been a huge success! 🎉

A massive THANK YOU to our fabulous Bar, Restaurant team and halfway house for all their hard work throughout the whole of Open Week. 🍻🍽️ Your efforts have helped make the week such a success!

👏 A special thank you also goes to our Club Captains, Mel & Nia, and their fantastic team of member volunteers, who have worked tirelessly throughout the week.

Together, they have raised an incredible £2,505 towards the Joint Captains’ Charity, Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospice, and the Abergele Golf Club Refurbishment Fund. ❤️

What a fantastic day we had at Abergele Golf Club on Friday! ⛳️☀️

We were delighted to welcome 108 players, with 27 teams of 4 representing 13 different golf clubs from across North Wales.

And after a fantastic day of golf, congratulations to our top three clubs:

🥇 1st – Betws-y-Coed GC — 122 points
🥈 2nd – Prestatyn GC — 120 points
🥉 3rd – Abergele GC — 118 points

👏 A huge congratulations to Betws-y-Coed on taking the win, and well done to everyone who took part!

A massive thank you also goes to everyone behind the scenes at Abergele Golf Club — from the greenkeeping team who had the course looking fantastic, to our clubhouse team, catering team, volunteers and everyone who helped make the day such a success. ❤️
