Match report - Pentre Storm vs Penmaenmawr Phoenix

Last weekend before the season starts and we welcomed our friends from Penmaenmawr over for a pre season friendly, we know how much of a tough and strong team they are so welcomed the challenge beofre we get started with the league season and what a game it turned out to be.

A back and forth opening with chances at both ends it was Penmaenmawr who opened the scoring from a corner and bundling the ball over the line for an early lead, but Storm were more than in this game with plenty of chances of our own we just had to settle in front of goal and show that composure we know the boys can we we went over in the break.

Storm kept pushing and finally got the breakthrough with Theo W scoring from the right into the far corner with a great strike before Theo E got on the scoresheet with a couple of quick time goals. Penmaenmawr stayed in the game and got one back to come in 3-2 at half time in a very competitive game of football.

But the boys carried on moving the ball fast and creating plenty of chances and with a rocket from Theo E from far out and this goal seemed to push the lads on even more and in the last quarter played some really good football and took our chances too with Abel grabbing two well taken goals and both Theos getting on the scoresheet again to finish the game off in style.

A very good show of football for this age group and some cracking goals scored from both sides.

Henry and Hugo were strong at the back for storm with Archie and Abel causing problems on the left wing throughout the game. Theo E with relentless pressure on the Penmaenmawr defence now allowing them to play out easy and winning the ball high all game and some great goals too 👏🏻

Having only joined the team in the last 3-4 weeks Theo W has fit in like he’s always been there and linking up so well with all the boys creating chances and scoring screamers too massive performance today all over the pitch and very well deserved well done mate 💪🏻👏🏻

A huge good luck to all our junior teams today as they take on their first game of the 26/27 season ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Following a very successful 2 weeks into our open sessions and the fantastic turn out!
We are on the hunt for an Under 8’s coach!

We have a great bunch of kids, with some massive potential looking for a coach to enable them to continue there football journey 🤞🏻
