Forestry operations are now underway near the Glen Tanar Charitable Trust Visitor Centre.

These operations will improve the health and quality of the remaining trees, allow more light to reach the forest floor to support woodland regeneration, and provide a harvest of timber.

The harvested timber will be marketed to sawmills and other processors for the manufacture of construction materials, pallets and fencing products, with residual material contributing to the production of renewable heat and electricity.

Public access will be affected, and track closures will be in place for periods during these operations. Please avoid using the operational areas, stay well clear of any forestry machinery, and adhere to any track closures and safety signage. Work is ongoing 24/7.

The map shows the area of the forestry operations and the affected tracks.

Thank you for your co-operation 🙏

The Velez Adventure Trousers are made for days when the weather won’t sit still, ideal for us here in Scotland! Keep moving without stopping to throw on extra waterproofs, they’re built to handle rain as it comes, while staying light and breathable. 🥾

They use Nikwax Analogy® fabric, which doesn’t just block out the rain but also shifts moisture away from your skin, so you don’t end up damp from the inside. Whether you’re climbing, covering long distances, or crossing mixed ground, they’re comfortable enough to wear all day.

They’re designed with movement in mind, with thigh vents to dump heat quickly, shaped knees for easier motion and adjustable ankles that work with different boots. They’re a dependable, all-season pair that balances waterproof protection with decent breathability.

📍 Visit us at Deeside Activity Park or find them on our website, reduced from £180 to £145 ⬇️
