A huge game awaits Abram this Saturday as the lads take on Newburgh for a place in the Laithwaite Shield Final.

After a brilliant cup run, the team are now just one win away from the final and will need all the support possible this weekend.

A massive result for the lads today as we book our place in the semi-finals of the Laithwaite Shield Cup 💙

After going 2-0 down, the boys showed great character to fight back and go into half time only 2-1 behind thanks to Paddy Alves.

In the second half, Abram kept pushing and got the equaliser through Keegan Miller after some great link up play with Paddy.

The game went to penalties, and after Paddy missed the first one, Marcus stepped up with two huge saves before scoring the winning penalty to send Abram through! 🧤🔥

Brilliant effort from every single player today, especially bouncing back after losing to the same team last time out.

After a tough test against title contenders last week, the lads came away disappointed but can take plenty of positives from a closely fought contest. It was a game where fine margins made the difference, and despite falling short, the performance showed the quality and resilience within the squad.

Attention now turns to Wednesday’s clash against Hagfold, where the focus is firmly on putting things right. The lads will be hungry to bounce back, build on last week’s effort, and turn a strong performance into the result it deserves. The aim is clear get back to winning ways and secure all three points.

Next up is our first midweek game at home to Hindley Green. After a tough game last time out, we go again with another tough game, the lads are looking to bounce back with a good performance to get some more points on the board.

We are still on the lookout for players for our Reserves team next season!!! Message this page, Abram Fc or Marcus Todd if you’re interested. Training will be Wednesday evenings (for the time being) and games will be on Saturday afternoons. So if you’re looking to get back into football or thinking of a change of scenery from your current clubs at the end of season get involved.

Next up for the lads, is a tough away game against Newburgh FC. With the boys still joyous about last week’s result, they come into this one full of confidence. With our opponents top of the league, we are ready to show that we are there to compete to get a result to keep confidence high for the upcoming cup games.
