They absolutely deserve a spot!

Behind every dance school is a team of people working quietly in the background, and for me, that team starts with my Mum and Dad.
Anyone who knows me knows I'm fiercely independent and like to do things myself, but the truth is that I couldn't do what I do without their constant support. Whether it's helping with jobs behind the scenes, offering advice when I need it, lending a hand at events, or simply being there whenever something needs doing, they never hesitate to help.

They've spent countless hours supporting the dance school, often without any recognition, simply because they believe in what we're building. Their encouragement, patience and willingness to step in whenever needed mean more than I can put into words.

The dance school wouldn't be what it is today without their support, and I'm so grateful for everything they do.

Thank you, Mum and Dad, for being my biggest supporters, my sounding board, and the best behind-the-scenes team I could ever ask for. ❤️

💫 Miss Georgia 💫

Our Contemporary Queen has been a part of our journey for many years. I first taught Georgia when she was just 13 years old and it has been an absolute privilege to watch her grow into the confident, talented, and inspiring woman she is today.

Alongside studying for her accountancy qualifications, she has dedicated years to teaching dance, sharing her passion and knowledge with countless students. Her creativity, commitment, and natural ability as a choreographer continue to amaze me and she has become an invaluable member of our team.

We've experienced so much together over the years, and through every challenge and success, she has remained loyal, hardworking, and full of heart. She is incredibly special to me, and I couldn't be prouder of everything she has achieved 💜

💫 Miss Leah 💫

A truly special teacher who works with our youngest students and makes sure our students - some as young as two years old feel safe, happy, and excited to dance! Her patience and understanding help give every child the very best start to their dancing journey within our school.

She builds strong foundations not only in learning but also in confidence and independence. Alongside her role in our school, she is also a Reception teacher in primary education, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to everything she does.

I had the pleasure of teaching her for a number of years as she completed her own training, making it especially rewarding to now see her inspiring the next generation with the same passion and dedication. Her ability to connect with young children and foster a love of dance is nothing short of magical 💜

💜 Meet our team 💜

💫 Miss Hazel 💫

Miss Hazel joined our team 11 years ago, it was only supposed to be for six weeks. Fast forward more than a decade, and we can’t imagine the place without her. What started as a short-term helping hand quickly made Miss Hazel an indispensable part of our dance family. Her dedication, loyalty, and ability to turn her hand to just about anything have made her the most incredible team member we could have from teaching tap to her adult classes to timetable dramas there really isn’t much she can’t do!

Miss Hazels full time role as a Chartered Accountant ensures she brings a level of precision and professionalism that keeps everything running smoothly but she’s perhaps best known as our timetabling queen 💃 Somehow, she manages the impossible task of coordinating classes with remarkable skill and endless patience.

Her organisational talents, combined with her unwavering commitment to the team, have helped shape our success for the past 11 years, and we are incredibly grateful that those original six weeks turned into so much more because I would truly be lost without her! 💜

💫 Principal - Miss Ashleigh 💫

Our fearless, inspiring and, at times, crazy leader.

Starting at just two years old, her passion for dance was strong throughout her childhood starring in many amateur stage and school productions and leading her to attend dance college at 16 where she gained her IDTA qualifications to teach dance. After finishing college, she taught for a number of local dance schools and primary schools and gained the role of director for a local theatre school. At the young age of 24, the opportunity arose for her to become the principal and owner of her childhood dance school where her journey first began and the rest, as they say, is history!

Although Miss Ashleigh is qualified to teach several disciplines of dance including all classes the school offers her true love is Ballet which she sees as the important basis for other types of dance to build on. If you can do Ballet, you can do any form of dance.
Outside of ADTA, Miss Ashleigh is a college lecturer in SEND having studied for a degree in Education with Special Educational Needs, all whilst running the school. She is also currently studying for a post graduate qualification; because a full time job, the dance school and being a mum doesn’t keep her busy enough!

Over the 11 years the academy has been running she has introduced new dance classes such as contemporary and acro as well as starting musical theatre branching out from purely dance.

She never switches off from thinking about what new and exciting opportunities we can provide for the students in the school and under her unwavering passion and drive we will continue to go from strength to strength

Long post BUT this is why we do what we do and this is what makes us different 💜

Having to book exam sessions so far in advance means we sometimes have to judge which groups will be ready when so it isn’t unusual for us to pull students out of exam sessions. Quite often it’s just because they aren’t quite ready. This can be for a number of reasons:
🤍 Missed classes due to family commitments or school/other hobbies or illness/injuries
🤍 Technique needs to be further developed
🤍 Confidence isn’t 100% just yet

This group are a prime example of just that. Twice we pulled them out of their Modern Jazz exam. We knew they were disappointed but like every student at ADTA they took the opportunity to really strive for more and that’s why EVERY STUDENT came out with DISTINCTION!! 💫

We do exams to empower our students and we truly care about every single one of them and their experiences. Exams bring nerves and excitement and we are right next to every single student to ensure they know just how INCREDIBLE they are 💜💜
