Coop’s is at the wheel ✍️

With the season officially over, we can now announce, with Dannys blessing, that Tom Cooper will become Leamington Vet’s new manager for next season. Danny approached “Coops” before the cup final to ask if would like to take over which he accepted.

Lets all get behind Coops in this new era, that will see Danny still involved but from a more social aspect (which we are pleased to keep him around🫶🏾).

A nice welcomed break now for the lads, to rest a lot of tired legs and bones, but no doubt we will come back fresh and ready to go, to defend our titles. Enjoy the summer ☀️ 🍺

Leam vets at the double 🫡 🏆 🏆

Leamington completed the season in fine fashion yesterday, beating Charlton in the Banbury Guardian Cup, making it a league and cup double, in Dannys final game! The game saw Leamington take a 4 goal advantage before Charlton pulled 2 back, and gave it a really good go, who at times looked the better side. 2 further goals later on, put the game out of reach, to clinch the cup and round up a fantastic season for the lads!

After a lengthy period of time from our last league game, its finally, Match day for the lads this weekend ⚽️

The end of an era………….🥹

The lads were recently informed by manager Danny Walden of his intentions to step down after our final game of the season against Charlton a week Sunday.

Danny has been the heartbeat of this club for 13 years now, assembling not only a squad of players that compete year on year, but an amazing changing room with all sorts of characters who, just get each other, bounce off each other and win, lose or draw all have a beer together after!

Danny has successfully managed us to many cup final wins and promotions over the seasons years, and from all the lads, we will miss you being around every week, your messages that dont make sense, your formations, even your crazy corner rountines, but, from the bottom of our hearts, all the best in your future football endeavours, true vets family, what a gaffa and what a penalty taker 😆 🔥

Although it wont be an easy game, the lads will do all we can, to win you one last bit of silverware before you leave! 💛🖤💙

Leamington Vets FC are the Champions 🏆

With Broughton completing their league season yesterday, we found out (stuck on a delayed plane home from Malaga 🤣) that we had secured the league title again! A top top effort from every player this season, we played 10, won 9 (our Wroxton results expunged when they exited the league) hats off to Broughton who took things to the final game of the season, and they will no doubt be right up there again next year after a strong 1st year in the prem. Thanks to all our league opponents this season, great sides, great lads, its been a thoroughly enjoyable one. We have 1 game remaining, the “Banbury Cup” final, against Charlton, and this will played at Kidlington FC, 10th May, kick off @ 12! We hope to see as many as you there as possible for one last dance this season. Big shout outs to the committee, the chairman, Leamington FC and of course the Gaffa, over the years, he has created and continues to create an atmosphere and energy all season, that is unrivalled 🫶🏾

But for now, all thats left to be said is, “WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS” 💛🖤💙
