No silverware, but plenty of iron x
Tough result to take yesterday, lots to improve upon, on a personal performance perspective & as a collective. I’ve no doubt we’ll take learnings from the day & come back stronger. ⚡️
Aside from the result, we made history being the first ever Ballymena Women’s team to be in a cup final & play at the home of Ulster rugby.
To play alongside these girls who so many of, are not only coaching clients but trust me to keep their bodies together & firing on all cylinders with between matches, was an honour x
Thanks to everyone who made the journey to come & support us, it meant a lot! 🫶🏽

Surprised myself a few times, nothing steps you up a gear like a line break with a chase on. 🐎
A 50-0 win on Sunday with the gals & to get over the line 4 times was a nice way to come back after missing the last 2 matches. 🤝🏽
It’s nice to play alongside players you have and currently coach & see their hard work pay off in real time. Big hits, whole pitch sprints for a try & strong carries. Lovely stuff. 🤝🏽

Nice to get the win with the gals in the first round of the cup & to get my name on the scoresheet in what was somehow the coldest 80 mins I’ve ever played. 😂🥶
No match next week & not too many aches from the weekend which means a big week of training coming up! 📈 🐎

What would happen if;
• You kinda brushed your teeth every day? 😬
• You only went to work when you felt like it? 🥴
• You only cleaned the house only when the mood hit? 🫣
You’d expect a trip the the dentist, fired from your job & a mess to come home to, and you wouldn’t be shocked. 💀
So we are well aware that consistent effort pays off in so many areas.. YET.. when it comes to building a stronger frame, improving performance, getting fitter, all that seems to go out the window??
You feel like you can get away with:
• Half-heartedly training. 🙃
• Kinda tracking your nutrition. 🤷🏽♀️
• Putting in minimal effort outside of that hour in the gym.🤦🏽♀️
And somehow then feel shocked or annoyed at a lack of progress..?!
If this sounds familiar, look at what you’re doing day to day, every day. Not just on the days you “put in the effort” & I can almost guarantee you’ll find the culprit to your lack of a breakthrough in the work you’re not doing. ⚡️
