On Sunday 2nd August Airdrie Golf Club will be holding a Qualifier for the Scottish Golf - Road to the Home of Golf Competition.This is open to Junior Members of Airdrie Golf Club with a handicap Index between 8.5 and 54.0.

Kathleen Scott

I have the sad duty to inform you that former member and Past Lady Captain Kathleen Scott has passed away aged 88. Kathleen was Lady Captain in 1984 and she was a member of Airdrie Golf Club for over 50 years having joined in 1971.

Kathleen and her husband Ian played golf in many places, including The Glen where they were also members and many courses on the Algarve during holidays. They were socially active at Airdrie GC and contributed much to the club.
After retiring from their carpet & home furnishing business (Hulme & Scott), Kathleen and Ian supported local Boys Brigade groups and 'Meals on Wheels'. Ian pre-deceased Kathleen, after which she spent her final years in Kilsyth.

Kathleen will be sadly missed by those who knew her.

What an outstanding achievement for AGC’s Adam Clelland at Crieff GC yesterday, when he qualified for the Faldo Futures national final at The Belfry.

He’ll be mixing it with the world’s superstars later this summer, with the final being played alongside the British Masters in August - what an experience he’s going to have.
