In Loving Memory of Scott Forbes

It is with great sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of one of our gym members, Scott Forbes who sadly passed away on Friday 25th July following a massive stroke.

Scott was a true part of the Peak Fitness family. He was well known and loved by both staff and members alike for his friendly nature, infectious laugh, and his constant willingness to lend a helping hand when anyone was in need .
Scott had a way of making everyone feel welcome, and his positive energy brightened the gym every time he walked through the doors.

He was, without question, one of the nicest and most genuine people we’ve had the pleasure of knowing. His presence will be deeply missed by us all.

Most of alll anyone who knew Scot knew how much of a family man he was ,a loving , caring father and husband ❤️

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his wife Karen, daughter Jessica, and son Anthony during this incredibly difficult time.

Scott’s funeral will be held on on 7th August 12.30 at Donald McLaren’s in Airdrie then Eastfield cemetery

Rest in peace, Scott – you will always be part of the Peak Fitness family.

A big shout out to our very own CHAMPION Martin Bakole in his big fight tonight.
We wish you the best of luck Martin and can’t wait to have you back training at Peak Fitness 4 U when we reopen 💪💪💪💪

Our sincere apologies everyone for the delay in updating you with developments.
We have been working really hard behind the scenes to move things forward as quickly as possible but the two insurance companies ( building and contents) have been dragging their heels.
Thankfully they are both coming up from down south tomorrow in order that we can finally get authorization to get started with the clean up.
We understand how frustrating this has had been for you all and are so incredibly grateful for your patience and understanding .
This has been the worst time imaginable for the team and we are truly desperate to get you all back in and training.
As soon as we get some clarification tomorrow, we will give you an update.

So some good news regarding power. We have power in gym but smoke fumes horrendous so waiting on specialist company coming out to fix things and also get official electric safety certificate. Please don’t hold me to this if not the case but I would like to think we could be open by Wednesday or Thursday. If before better again 🙏.

Hi everyone I am still waiting on my meet with electrician which is this afternoon, however i know all of you are desperate to get training and my good friend Mark Dickson owner of Protein Jakes in Wishaw “across from TESCO”has been kind enough to to allow you to train at his gym whilst we are closed.
They are based in Wishaw. So all members are free to train there .

Just give your name when you go in and let them know you are from Peak. Reception is only partially manned so If no one is present at reception just go and smash that workout . You wilL NOT have to pay for session.

Marks classes are AMAZING if any of you want to try them aswell . Protein Jake’s is directly across from Tesco in Wishaw . You can park at side of building or Tesco car park may be a good option . Opening times are Monday-Friday 6am-9pm
Saturday 8am-1pm
Sunday 10am-1pm

Todays update - Scottish power came out and returned fuses for gym . However wont allow us to put power on yet as they are 2 burnt cables going from ground floor into first floor which we need to trace . I’m hoping it’s the cable for the old elevator in the building waaaay back when it was Goldberg’s but won’t know until electrical contractor checks it out .

He is coming out tomorrow . If these cables aren’t live or in use then we will be able to get power on . If they are then there will need to be work carried out. I will keep you updated after out meeting tomorrow. Once again thanks for your patience . Driving me crazy the gym being closed brings back memories of Covid 🙈😩.
