GARTCAIRN WFC ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THE SIGNING OF LEAH DALY!

Gartcairn Women’s Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of Leah Daly, who joins the club following a spell at Livingston WFC, with earlier experience at Queen’s Park after coming through the Rangers academy.

Daly arrives with a strong pedigree, having been named Queen’s Park’s Young Player of the Year and Supporters Player of the year in 2023 before going on to make over 30 appearances in a single season for the club. She has also appeared in SWPL 1 for a season. A versatile and energetic presence who can operate through midfield or at full-back, she brings drive, quality on the ball, and a real creative threat from deep.

Manager Graeme Hart had this to say:

“Leah is exactly the type of player we want to keep bringing to this club — she’s come through a great academy with Rangers and already has a plenty experience for someone so young at SWPL 2 making over 50 appearances, which tells you everything about her attitude and ability. She’s versatile, she’s got quality, and she’s still got so much of her career ahead of her. I’m delighted she’s chosen to join us and excited to get working with her.

GARTCAIRN WFC ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THE SIGNING OF JO ADDIE!

Gartcairn Women’s Football Club are thrilled to confirm the capture of experienced defender Jo Addie, who joins the club following over five seasons at Motherwell FC, and earlier spells including Partick Thistle.

Addie brings a wealth of top-flight experience with her — boasting over 100 SWPL appearances, a Scottish Cup semi-final to her name, and a top-6 finish in SWPL 1. A composed, dependable presence at the back and a natural leader, she’ll add real experience and organisation to Gartcairn’s squad. She’s also a genuine goal threat from set pieces, adding another dimension to the team going forward.

“You don’t get to the level Jo has played by accident. She’s seen it all at the top level, and we are extremely grateful she has chosen Gartcairn to join — I expect her to be a real driving force in that dressing room and on the pitch and I fully expect her to increase standards right across the club. She’s also dangerous in the box too, having scored a few goals against me at my former club. A born winner and a brilliant addition, a real marquee signing for the club.”
