Pre-Season | Night 1

We're back at it tonight as pre-season gets underway for the bulk of the squad, with just a few players still enjoying some well-earned time in the sun. ☀️

It's also the first session for the boys under new Head Coach Alan Cunningham , and everyone is looking forward to getting the hard work started ahead of the new season.

We're still looking to add one or two players to the squad for the upcoming campaign. If you're interested in joining an ambitious CSFA A Division team and want to test yourself at a high level, we'd love to hear from you.

We are delighted to welcome Scott to the team as our first summer signing ahead of the new season.

We have no doubt that he will be a fantastic addition to the squad as we continue to strengthen for the challenges ahead.

⚪️⚫️🔵⚪️⚫️

A decent way to round off our first season together, finishing as runners-up at the Barony Football Festival.

Looking back on the season, we've achieved a huge amount. We reached the League Cup Final, made the Divisional Cup Semi-Finals, enjoyed a strong run in the Regional Cup and, despite a dip in form during the middle of the season, finished strongly in the league. We also had a fantastic Scottish Cup campaign, reaching the Quarter-Finals.

For a club in its first season, these are achievements everyone associated with Greengairs can be proud of.

We now take a short break before returning for pre-season, with our new-look coaching team in place and ready to go — more on that in the coming weeks.

Overall, it's been a fantastic start to our journey, but we're far from finished. The foundations have been laid, and we're excited about what comes next.

To all of our players, parents, volunteers, coaches, committee members and sponsors, thank you for everything you have contributed this season. Your support, commitment and hard work have made this possible.

We're only just getting started.

🏆⚽️ U17 Greengairs Summer Cup

Due to a recent withdrawal, a place has become available at this year’s U17 Greengairs Summer Cup, proudly sponsored by S.R.L Valet and Detailing Specialists.

📍 Airdrie Leisure Centre
💷 Entry Fee: £200 per team

The tournament will feature a full day of competitive football, with food available on site and trophies up for grabs for the winners.

We’re also delighted to welcome football legends Gordon Smith, Dougie Bell and Bobby Russell, who will be joining us on the day. 👏

There will also be a raffle for a Rangers/Celtic football top signed by football legends, adding to what promises to be a fantastic day of football.

A great way to round the season off with a win away to Rossvale.

Our first season has been an absolute rollercoaster. League Cup finalists, Scottish Cup Quarter Finalists, a decent Regional Cup run and Divisional Cup Semi Finalists. Add in some great results in what has been a crazy but competitive league, and there is so much to be proud of.

Off the park, the year has been just as crazy. From starting with two teams and 14 players, to now having 8 teams and over 100 players. Throw in Quality Mark, accreditations, securing our own park, and topping it all off with charity status — it has been an explosive first season as a club.

It all started with the 2010s and a couple of 2014s, but this core of players, parents and coaches have gone over and above for Greengairs. This is only the beginning.

Year 2, here we come.
