Aldershot Town Football Club

Aldershot Town would like to confirm that, in the event of the England National Team reaching the semi-final stage of the World Cup, the club have agreed that the kick-off time of our pre-season friendly against Portsmouth on Wednesday, 15th July will be brought back to 5pm, as opposed to the originally scheduled 7pm.

With a first home fixture of the new campaign against Championship opposition due to clash with the Three Lions' prospective final four clash, the club would be remiss to deny supporters of enjoying both, resulting in this precautionary decision should Thomas Tuchel's men emerge victorious on Saturday evening.

Following discussions with both Portsmouth Football Club and the local authorities, all parties have agreed an earlier kick off time to be the only tenable solution, with alternative dates unavailable amid a typically rigorous pre-season campaign.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and please note that, should England exit the World Cup against Norway on Saturday evening, the original kick off time of 7pm will remain.

Yet to break the deadlock 🔒

Aldershot Town are delighted to announce the signing of Elijah Oladunjoye, who arrives having most recently played for Hanwell Town.

The 2004-born defender has thus far spent his young career earning experience at step three and four, turning out for Virginia Water, CB Hounslow, Marlow and the aforementioned Hanwell. A stand-out performer at each have seen him reach the summit of the non-league pyramid.

Eli has of course already been spotted donning a Shots shirt this summer, playing as a triliast in the second-half of our pre-season curtain-raiser against Badshot Lea.

Garnering plenty of attention on Saturday for his eye-catching long throw technique, his now semi-viral instances of finding the back of the net from the touchline were not to distract from what was an incredibly impressive 45 minutes in open play.

Featuring once again tonight, Scott Davies has decided he has seen enough, announcing his new threat before our match versus Bedford Town commences.

In what is sure to be an extremely popular addition, everyone at Aldershot Town wishes Elijah a great settling in period as our summer preparations continue.
