🏑 The 79th Bari Cup was a fantastic showcase of Corps hockey, with 10 teams entered from across the Corps competing throughout the festival.

It was especially great to see so many novices getting involved and enjoying the sport, demonstrating enthusiasm, teamwork and determination in every match.

All games were played in excellent spirit, making the tournament a brilliant success both on and off the pitch. Well done to everyone who took part! 👏

The team at 29RLC have been busy this morning setting up the Bari Cup at the Royal Agriculture University in Cirencester. Teams will arrive this afternoon in preperation for a training session prior to the competition starting tomorrow.

Outdoors InterCorps 2026📸🏑

The Men's team displayed some fantastic hockey over the last few days. Accumulating to several wins, leading the team to a respectable finishing place in the tournament.
The physical and mental resistance shown from the limited numbers we had was unparalleled. Some solid defending from Will Gregg, Alex Nicholas, Matt Bottomley, Cai Strawbridge and Ed Watling-Read.

A congratulations to all involved and a representaion of the Corps they should be proud of.

The RLC women’s team delivered an impressive performance throughout the competition, showing determination and resilience despite limited team numbers. Goals came from team captain LCpl McCordick, alongside Pte Boateng, Pte Richardson, LCpl Woodman and Lt Abbott, highlighting a strong show of attacking talent. Overall, it was a spirited and encouraging display that reflects the team’s growing potential.

The Army Inter Corps Hockey Championships proved a tough contest for the RLC Masters team this year. While the results didn’t go the way we had planned, finishing with three draws and three losses, the scorelines certainly didn’t reflect the quality and determination shown on the pitch. The team produced some excellent hockey throughout, with moments of real class and cohesion, and a few individuals delivered truly exceptional performances (you know who you are). Well done to everyone involved, and thank you all for your commitment and effort.
