U16/17 LIONESSES

Another week and another win for our lionesses team. With a fantastic 25-21 victory over Penkridge Panthers in a fiercely contested match. Every single player stepped up and did their role to win ball, get it down court and convert our chances.

ALDRIDGE GEMS

Another win for gems in the Tuesday night league against our own firebirds. This time being a convincing 32-16 victory. With the girls being on fire from the very start. As always our shooters were on top form and the rest of the team put in a massive effort to get the ball down court and turnover ball from the opposition.

U19 REGIONAL

It was our first regional win last weekend against Elmdon. From the first quarter we had a steady lead with the Q1 score being 13-7 to us. With some changes made by the opposition they came back fighting which lead to it being even at half time. The girls dug deep in the second half of the match, hanging on to a narrow lead. Final score was a 45-39 win.

U11 FERNS

Ferns had an unfortunate 15-10 loss against Birmingham City in what was a very evenly matched game. The girls did a brilliant job driving up the court and moving the ball well to get it to the circle. At some points there was just one goal in it but we couldn’t quite hold on to this.

U9 ACORNS

First match of the season for these little superstars and a first match with them all in dresses. We knew it would be a tough match against a very tall little Sutton side we come across quite often. With our last few matches LS taking the win. But the girls came out firing and put on one of the best displays of netball we have seen from them. Everything we worked on at training was there in match play, including running onto the ball, changes of directions and timing our runs. It was lovely to see how many clean 2 handed interceptions we took as well. Resulting in a 3-2 win to us!
