Today we announce our second ‘au revoir’ of the weekend.

Anne Jarvis, our over 60s player and Club Secretary has decided to retire from football having just celebrated her 70th Birthday and also step away from her administrator role.

Anne has been with the CNWWF since the very beginning having attended the very first trial 2 and a half years ago. She is one of the most generous of women you will ever meet, and has supported the club and individual players throughout her time with the club.
Anne has played football for many years all over the world, but in her retirement will enjoy spending time out and about on her bike in the hills of North Wales.

We want to thank Anne for her time, commitment and generosity with the CNWWF and wish her every happiness in her footy retirement 🐼🖤🤍🩵⚽️

After our adventures at the World Masters Cup last weekend, our former Head Coach and Manager Mandy Gornicki has decided to step away from international football with the Celtic Nations Women’s Walking Football.

Without Mandy, there would be no CNWWF and her drive, energy and passion for this club and group of women has made it what it is today.

We started with a small handful of mixed aged players and over the past 2 years, have grown and developed to be able to compete with the very best players on the international stage.
We will continue to build upon the brilliant foundations that Mandy has put in place.

We want to thank Mandy for everything that she has given to the CNWWF and wish her every happiness in her walking football adventures in the future.

We’re looking back and reflecting on what a fantastic 3 days of football our squads have had.

Our growth and development in the past 12 months has been incredible and we’re learning every time we play and compete. This weekend we put ourselves up against some of the best players and teams around, and it demonstrated just how far we have come.

We’re so proud of every single player and coach but a special shout out has to go to our supporters. They lifted us up, gave us energy and belief and carried us through every game. We most definitely had the BEST supporters there (and the noisiest 😂). THANK YOU to you all - it meant the world.

Our final shout out has to go to our fabulous over 40s Celts. You not only demonstrated that you can compete with the best and match them but you played for each other and left it all on the pitch. We’re all so proud of you. 🐼🖤🤍🩵⚽️

Here’s some pics from around the ground and out and about, and I think you’ll agree that our team spirit and togetherness is something special. 🖤🤍🩵🐼⚽️

🐼Our 40s Pandas got stronger through the tournament, playing some lovely football.

🐼Our 40s Celts finished the group equal on points, and GD with England. They played out a fantastic final, playing some of the best walking football you’ll ever see.
