Stay local, stay safe, keep others safe. It will come to an end, it isn't forever. We can do this!

At any other time the local community of Aberfoyle and the surrounding area would welcome all if you with open arms... But for a little while weโ€™d like to please ask you all to stay away.

Like many areas of the UK countryside there was a lot of concern last week about an influx of people to our area. This is something ourselves and the rest of the local community are very keen to avoid this week.

All of our actions right now can have serious consequences for others, so with that in mind if you are having any thoughts of travelling to the area this weekend please donโ€™t. The hills and forests will be here to enjoy long after this challenging time.

Stay safe, healthy and local to your home. ๐Ÿ’š

Looking for a fresh idea to be out in the fresh air? This ๐Ÿ‘‡ is great!

Looking for an outdoor adventure this weekend with the family or friends? Weโ€™re running a series of orienteering events for newcomers in Dunblane this March.

We give you a map and a timing chip and you have to race around a series of checkpoints as fast as you can. The challenge is that you have to choose your own route between each checkpoint, using your map. There will be plenty of help available to get you started.

Can you help?

An undergraduate student from Edinburgh Napier University is undertaking research as part of her degree course: A Comparison of Motivations and Mental Well being Between Indoor and Outdoor Cycling. As part of this research she is looking for people who participate in cycling, either indoors or in green spaces, at least once every two weeks to complete a survey and then complete another survey prior to and after a ride.
