Upper Donside Bowling Club

After the success of the first workshop run by Sue, the next one is on 22nd July. All welcome.

As part of our Community Outreach, on Wednesday 17 June we held a Pastel Landscapes Workshop in the clubhouse, hosted by Sue, our Secretary.

Whilst the weather wasn't particularly kind it didn't spoil our enthusiasm and a most enjoyable time was had by all.

So much so, we hope to do it again on 23rd July - all are welcome and no experience is necessary - look out for posters nearer the time.

This year the Invitation Triples Tournament was held on Saturday 6th June in changeable weather and generously sponsored by Kildrummy and Glenkindie Estates Limited!

Competition was fierce and good humoured and a good day was had by all.

Stewart, Head Gardener at the estates, was a welcome visitor to the club and we may see him again on the green!

The Tournament wouldn't be a success without people. People who organise and run the event, volunteers and participants. Too many to name, but a big thank you to you all.

Invitation Triples 2026 - Upper Donside Bowling Club Invitation Triples Tournament 2026

The day has finally arrived when we hold our annual Invitation Triples Tournament, sponsored by Kildrummy & Glenkindie Estates Ltd.

A big thank you to the Estates for sponsoring the prizes for the tournament which will be presented by the Head Gardener of the Estates at the end of the tournament.

The weather could be a challenge but the Club is ready to receive the competing teams.

If previous tournaments are anything to go by, the day promises to deliver great competition played in good spirits and humour.

If anyone in the community wants to see what goes on, please come along and spectate. You will be more than welcome and maybe it will inspire you to have a go!

We are also keen to see new faces on the green. Whether you are returning to bowling or want to try something new, you will receive a warm welcome on Saturday.

There's no obligation to join and you can take advantage of a month's free trial to see if bowling is for you.

It's a fun, healthy sport or pastime where you can meet new people and get involved in competitions within the club, against other local clubs or not at all. The choice is up to you.
