Very busy pony day today starting with clients horses
and then doing bits with my own in the afternoon. Apple’s fly rug arrived however her neck is too big for the neckpiece so had to cut that off. A short ride for Sam bareback/bridleless, a loose school for Rocky who wanted to let off some steam, and then back to ridden work for the golden girl Willow.

First groundwork lesson today in arena for 3 year old newbie. Taking a good look at her surroundings and learning where to put her feet. She had started to understand clicker training too and is proving to be a quick learner; she’s definitely going to be a big girl 🙈

4 year old Willow is teething atm bless her so her last session was in a rope halter which she seemed much more comfortable about. I’ve cancelled our outings for the next couple of weeks to give her a little holiday and dentistry checkup before we carry on. I have a variety of bitless bridles but don’t believe in carrying on now when a break will do them good; give them time to absorb what they’ve learnt and for me to reassess our training goals for this summer. She’s seen and done quite a few different things over the last 2 months and has been a delight 💜
