We are an established dance school with fully trained, enthusiastic teachers, who have a passion for teaching dance across all ages and abilities. The school has been established in the Alfreton area for over 26 years and is highly respected for the service it offers by both the general public, leading dance organisations and
practitioners. Our aim is to provide a safe, none-threatening environme
nt to learn, perform and enjoy the many benefits of ‘together’ dancing. We follow the National Association of Teachers of Dancing syllabus for Latin American, Ballroom, Modern, Latin and Classical Sequence along with fun social
classes for adults, children and even babies! We can take pupils from absolute beginners through to a recognised qualification in dance; but we also appreciate that many dancers want to dance for the sheer pleasure of moving to marvellous music and socialising with like-minded people. DANCETOTS: is a 45 minute, fun filled movement/dance activity session for babies, toddles and their primary carer. DANCETOTS offers endless opportunities for children to fine tune their physical and cognitive capabilities. Through this rich, fun learning experience very young children and babies benefit by improving their fine and gross motor skills, balance and co-ordination along side language acquisition, memory recall, basic numeracy skills, colour recognition and improved listening proficiency; offering children that all important head start before commencing school. As significant as they are, it’s not just about the physical and educational benefits - DANCETOTS place equal importance on developing a child’s personal, social and emotional development whist encouraging creativity through music, movement, social interaction and most importantly of all, whilst having oodles of fun learning the FUNdamentals of dance! We use an array of props to stimulate young inquisitives minds from musical instruments, colourful floaty scarves and wands to bubbles, bean bags, hoops and soft toys, whilst moving to music from Mozart to Madonna, action songs and rhymes to hot salsa and Latin American rhythms. Safety is very important to us. Therefore all our teachers, student teachers and assistants are trained to a very high standard and are encouraged to progress with their own professional development. As a school we hold all the necessary policies, Child Protection Statement, Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) checks, First Aid Certificates etc

Medal work and Social dance - over 8yrs Ballroom and Latin American classes. Fun together dancing including strict tempo and fun social dances too! 11am to 12.30pm

Adult Beginners & Improvers Class 7.30pm
Adult Ballroom, Latin & Sequence Social Dance 8:30pm. Everyone very welcome. Bar, tea & coffee available and ample car parking. Private lessons; for wedding couples first dance, that special ocassion, holiday or just for fun, are available on request.
