Today, Kyle stepped onto the tatami to compete in the WKF Youth League in Poreč, Croatia.

Everyone at the club is incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication and commitment you've shown to earn this opportunity. All those hours of training have paid off, and it's fantastic to see you representing your country on the international stage.

To top it off, Kyle even featured on the official WKF Instagram highlights reel!

No matter the result, competing at this level is a huge achievement and an experience to remember.

Congratulations, Kyle – we're all proud of you. Enjoy every moment! πŸ‘πŸ₯‹

A fantastic day at the JKS Scotland National Championships and some outstanding performances from our competitors.

Between them, our competitors brought home an impressive 13 medals across kata and kumite events.

Beyond the medals, what stood out most was the way everyone supported and encouraged one another throughout the day. Whether competing, officiating, or cheering from the sidelines, there was a real sense of teamwork from start to finish. It was great to see competitors celebrating each other's successes, helping one another through challenges, and representing the dojo with respect, determination, and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to:

A special well done to everyone who competed at this level for the first time. Stepping onto the floor at a national championship takes courage, and every competitor should be proud of their efforts.

Thank you to all competitors, parents, and JKS Scotland for making the event possible.

It was a real privilege for the club to host Daisuke Watanabe Sensei for an outstanding evening of training and learning.

Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who supported the event. The turnout, attitude, effort, and enthusiasm shown throughout the evening were outstanding. We are incredibly proud of how everyone conducted themselves and the positive atmosphere they helped create. It was fantastic to see karateka of all ages and grades training together, working hard, and making the most of the opportunity to learn from one of the worlds most experienced kumite instructors.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our friends from JKS Cumberland and David Kindler Sensei for making the journey and collaborating on the event. Your continued friendship and support are greatly appreciated.

Thank you also to JKS Scotland for facilitating the seminar and helping make the event possible.

Thank you to Daisuke Watanabe Sensei for sharing his knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm with us all. The quality of instruction throughout both sessions was exceptional, and we are sure everyone left with plenty to think about and work on in their future training.

Thank you again to everyone who attended and supported the seminar. Events like these are only possible because of the commitment and support of our members, families, and the wider karate community.
