5 things that change about your training after 40 — and what to do about them 👇
Recovery gets slower
→ Train hard, just not maximally every day. Recovery is part of progress now.
Muscle loss accelerates if you don’t lift
→ Make resistance training the foundation. Muscle becomes non-negotiable after 40.
High-intensity cardio becomes more stressful
→ Use HIIT strategically instead of doing it daily. More isn’t always better.
Joints and tendons become less forgiving
→ Warm up like an athlete, not like you’re “just exercising.”
Nutrition impacts body composition more than before
