Last game of the season ✅

Massive thank you to every player who pulled on the shirt this year, especially those who stepped up week in, week out for both firsts and reserves 👏

Big credit to the management team for everything behind the scenes. The club does not run without the volunteers who give up their time beyond Sunday morning📋

Thank you to the Andover & District Sunday League for organising the season, to the referees for giving up their time, and to all the clubs we’ve played against 👏

Big plans for next season, fresh start, new energy and something to build on 🔥

A tough result today but plenty to build on. We showed fight throughout and kept going until the end, even when the game got away from us.

Goals from Craig, Arran, and Kyle ⚽

Man of the Match: Kyle
A brilliant debut performance, topped off with a goal. A young talent with a bright future ahead 👏

We learn, we improve, and we go again next week.

Still here. Still surviving. Still standing. 👊⚽

Our first team have now finished their season, completing all Division 1 fixtures. It has not been easy, but it shows how deep our foundations are as a club.

We still have a loyal core of players who have stuck with us year after year, and we have also brought in some great players this season who we hope will be part of our future. That togetherness continues to drive us forward.

Our Reserves carry the fight on into the spring as their Division 3 season continues, and we are focused on finishing the campaign strongly.

Then attention turns to a summer of rebuilding, hard work and pushing on again together.

A beautiful sunny day and goals galore in a proper end to end contest ☀️⚽

Great character shown from the lads to keep battling and come away with a point. We kept digging in and pushed right until the final whistle.

It got a bit feisty at times, which it always seems to against , especially when you are coming up against a few familiar faces from previous seasons.

Goals from Parkinson, C. Sloan x2, Parkes, and Roberts ⚽

Man of the Match: Keiron Sloan with a top performance 👏

Another milestone for one of the originals. Carl Shipsey brings up 50 appearances for Charlton Wanderers FC 👏

Shipsey has been with us since the very beginning when the club reformed and has been part of the journey through the divisions.

Around the club he’s known for two things.

Turning up late.
And scoring absolute bangers.

Swipe to see one from a few seasons back ⚽

Congratulations on 50 games, Shipsey.

Everyone came back from the New Year break expecting a competitive fixture this Sunday. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the game didn’t go ahead.

So the question was… what do you do when 25 players are available and ready to play football?

You improvise. You adapt. You do something positive.

We turned the morning into an internal friendly, got the lads playing, kept the football flowing, and used it as an opportunity to give something back.

We’re delighted to say that all funds raised have been donated to Andover Town Youth FC to support their current fundraising campaign.

Huge thank you to everyone who turned up, played, donated, and backed the idea. And a big thank you to Sports Academy for sourcing a pitch at such short notice and helping make the morning possible.

This is what community football is all about.

🌺 Remembrance Day 🌺

This morning, we paused for a two-minute silence to remember and honour those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.

Lest we forget. ❤️

A huge congratulations to Callum Meakin, who has officially become the first player to reach 50 competitive appearances for Charlton Wanderers Football Club 👏

Callum joined us as an 18-year-old back in the 2022/23 season, starting out in our Division 3 side when the club reformed. Since then he has worked his way up through every Sunday level in Andover. He’s been an important part of our back-to-back promotions, becoming a key part of our Division 1 squad this season.

Callum has already picked up a North Hants Cup winners medal and three runners-up medals in just two seasons… on top of that, Callum has now won Young Player of the Season two years running 🏆

At just 20 years old, Callum embodies everything we’re about: commitment, development and loyalty. A fantastic achievement for a fantastic clubsman.
